    Windows 8 Freezes (upgrade and clean installation)

    First post in this forum, and already with complaints ;-)

    I installed the Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400 on my computer. I first did an upgrade from windows 7, but that gave me some (apparently ramdon) freezes. I decided to do a clean installation on unallocated space. The same happened 3 times till now. I used the W8 File Collector (see attached It gave me a 'Sorry, No Dump Found'-error. You can also find two printscreens in the zip file.

    I only installed a new driver for my nvidia graphics card, and the wireless D-Link adapter.

    Can anyone help me out? This is driving me crazy ;-)

    Thanks in advance!

    Have you installed the graphics driver from Weltweiter Marktführer für Visual Computing Technologien | NVIDIA?

    Base on my personal experience, the nvidia graphics card driver will conflict with windows 8. We need special edition of the driver.

    If you haven't do that, go to the link above, choose driver download, then choose option 2 (automatically detect graphics card). Then follow instructions to install.

    @wei haw

    Thanks for the suggestion! I did install the latest nvidia drivers. All up to date (see the attached jpeg).

    The crash feels more like a lack of memory. It's no instant freeze. Everything slows down spectacularly, and a few seconds later, nothing moves.
