BSOD driver_power_state_failure (even if charging)

Now this problem has actually been plaguing me in the past few months. This laptop is fairly new and was just bought last late June. From my observation, the BSOD only occurs when there's not that much activity in the laptop (like coding or just watching videos). Another thing that I noticed is that the BSOD appears whenever I start a video, I was able to deduce that probably it's the sound driver though anything could be a culprit. Sometimes it's random like when programming (no music/video in the background). The BSOD never occurred when I'm either gaming or just doing heavy tasks in particular.

It used to be that the BSOD only appears whenever it's on battery. Now, I have seen instances of it having BSOD even if it's charged. The latest one (just now) happened even the laptop is at 100% and charging.

Once the BSOD occurs, it will not happen again for a while. This could range from 2~7 days.

Plus I don't know if this is related, but my battery is going weird for some reason. At random times, I'm just getting notified that my battery reached my set minimum level though it will return to the real battery level. Fortunately, I have CPUID HWMonitor and BatterMon up all the time to see if these are just coincidences or not. The notifications also occur even if I'm charging (see screenshot below). From my observations, when this happens the voltage goes down to around 3.100~3.000 volts and just goes back up again to 11.400.

I really want to have this problem fixed since I don't want a BSOD to happen during something a critical moment (like presentations or coding for something important).

I only included a handful of .dmp files though I could upload more as requested. Some even date back to late September.

The BSODs that happened from 9/9/15 to 9/22/15 are probably not related to the problem I have now. The cause for this BSOD was for the dGPU's driver. It happened when I downloaded a GeForce Experience beta (the one where they first introduce game stream) and a driver that I forgot (the one that I had before is 347.25). I fixed the problem by rolling back to 347.25 and the problem never appeared anymore. I haven't updated the dGPU drivers for a while since I knew that a BSOD could happen again regarding the drivers and I don't want the hassle of doing system restores and things like that when I was doing important things. In short, I brought it to its last known stable condition. Though it has the 355.60 drivers now in which I'm waiting for if it will be stable and I have the 359.06 in standby.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

  1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
  2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
    • Double click the executable to open it
    • Click on the button shown below

34700d1440923396-bsod-0x124-whea_uncorrectable_error-nothing-works-a887c9d9e7.png

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please remove ASUS software, it is known for causing bluescreens.

I have removed Daemon tools though I don't know what you mean by run the "SPTD Pass Through remover". Is that something that I need to download or do I already have it?

I also downloaded the SPTD Standalone Installer from here:
DuplexSecure - Downloads

IS that the right website? I chose the W8.1 x64.

For some reason, I can't see the image that you posted.

I just downloaded it and the program told me that there's already one installed. I still can't see the picture that you have posted, but when the program prompted me to what to do, I just chose uninstall. If there's anymore problem, I'll just reply back.
