BSOD Thread Stuck in Device Driver

Hi there,

I just got a BSOD. It has happened once which I know is probably not a big deal but I like to look into it to be sure it doesn't happen again. As the PC was shutting down with the BSOD, it did say something about thread stuck in device driver. So I googled that and it looked like a problem with my display driver. I've had problems with my display driver before and it's usually due to me always forgetting to make sure it's updated. So I used the auto detect utility provided by AMD to make sure I have the latest update for my graphics driver. I figured that I didn't have it updated so I used the utility just to be sure. To my surprise, it is still updated! There's no newer version or update that the utility is showing me. So I'm not sure what else could be going on.

Thanks.

Ok I thought I had fixed the problem by updating my display driver. I used the newest version of auto detect from the amd website and tested again and I still have the updated display driver so something else is going on. I got the BSOD again today with the same error even after updating the display driver. Here's the zipped file of the dump file. Hopefully I did it correctly this time.

Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD. Be sure to ONLY install the drivers using custom/advanced options.

Thanks. I don't have the option for custom/advanced. Just a list of components to install and that's it (from the AMD website using their auto detect utility). I did start a new thread about 2 of the components I wasn't sure about before installing because I don't want another BSOD because of a bad installation.

That is actually custom, if you only install drivers :)
