Solved BSOD Driver_Power_State_Failure when shutdown and restart

Hi all,

I recently built a new computer and installed windows 8.1 x64. When I shutdown or restart a computer. It may cause of freeze "Shutting down" or "Restarting" screen. After 5 minutes, BSOD "driver_power_state_failure" screen appear and computer force to restart.

Please help me.

Where did you get your installation?
This kind of activation is only used for enterprise by organisations, or illegal with cracking.

I download from a website by search. I think it's trial version because it not activated.

So the problem caused by windows is not genuine ?

From what website have you downloaded?

On your desktop, what does right below in the screen show you? Please make a screenshot of it and post it.

The problem is not the activation, the activation is something we need to check so we don't spend our time useless with troubleshooting while heavily modified code could be causing it which can't be solved with troubleshooting. Again, not saying it is the cause in your case.

On the desktop it says "Windows 8.1, Build 9600" and Control Panel - System, there is the message that "Windows is not activated". I will capture when come back to home.

Then its fine, just make sure you activate your windows in time

Yet I can't find any driver update sites, I suggest you check your motherboard manufacturer for driver updates.

I access internet through usb tethering with LG G2. That's lastest firmware from LG: Mobile Devices, Home Entertainment & Appliances | LG USA.

Do you have other idea?

Why exactly are you using USB?
I think that it is causing you the problem

I want to test performance of 4G LTE but my desktop have no wireless adaptor.
