BSOD's occuring (IRQL, PFN, POOL HEADER) random [all info]

    Hello

I am new to these forums, but I think I have complied with all posting regulations. Otherwise please smack me into doing so. I have uploaded both the instructed as the stickied BETA zipfile, plus a screenshot of my Blue Screen Viewer.

    Attachment 65938

Without changing anything except a new mouse (without a driver and in between the occurances) BSOD's have started occuring at random. Sometimes they stay away for days, sometimes they happen several times a day. Some give a hard reboot, some make a dump - but they're all freakishly annoying. First real dump showed IRQL error, so checked my drivers for up-to-date-ness, but couldn't find real culprits nor had I changed any drivers. Then the PFN dump showed up and I found:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...(v=vs.85).aspx

On 8D: "The page-free list is corrupted. This error code most likely indicates a hardware issue."

I know it's an old machine (8 years) but it's still really working well ... or was. I can't seem to find tooling to check the harddrive (850 Pro SSD) for issues, but chkdsk /f has both run completely once and also restarted mid process once so I'm not comfortable there. Samsung software says good health ... but hey. Below are the attached BSOD analysed files.

    Attachment 65936
    Attachment 65937

I would appreciate any assistance on the matter as I am not quite sure how to proceed!

    Kind regards,
    Cass.

    ---
Edit; let memtest run a full pass, no issues. So now I am suspecting either ssd or motherboard ... never ever seen a cpu go faulty. System is not overclocked. Trying the latest stable drivers for GPU now (even though I am on stable version one release ago).

    Hi Cass,

    Welcome to the 8forums.

Google Chrome is active in a few crashes, lately it could cause BSOD's for some people.
Please check if Chrome is updated and if so please remove it temporarily.
    Code:
    BUGCHECK_STR: 0x19_e

    CUSTOMER_CRASH_COUNT: 1

    DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: WIN8_DRIVER_FAULT

    PROCESS_NAME: chrome.exe

    CURRENT_IRQL: 0

    ANALYSIS_VERSION: 6.3.9600.17336 (debuggers(dbg).150226-1500) amd64fre

    LAST_CONTROL_TRANSFER: from fffff800476be61c to fffff8004756c9a0
Memory corruption has come up multiple times
Please make sure the RAM frequency in the BIOS is supported by the motherboard.
Please follow the instructions for running MemTest86+ carefully.
It is better to run MemTest86+ as it is proven better then MemTest86.
    Code:
    Probably caused by : memory_corruption

    RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 7 Forums

    Note   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

If MemTest86+ has archieved at least 8 complete passes with zero errors, please enable driver verifier

    DRIVER VERIFIER

    warning   Warning
Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
    Please create a restore point.

Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

    Note   Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Axe0, thank you for your reply!

I downloaded the + version and have tried to run it several times but it would always hang ... see the following screenshot:

    Attachment 65971

Nothing on this screen is moving except for the little red plus on the left top ... the test has completely frozen and no keys are responsive anymore. This happens in different moments all the time, but errors never show up. In combination with my earlier message, I draw the following conclusions:

    - It's not a software issue
    - It's not a GPU issue
    - It's likely not a RAM issue, the non-+ version completed successfully and I haven't seen any errors in the +-version despite ample attempts
    - So what remains are a broken CPU, motherboard or really weirdly behaving PSU ... Since I have never seen a dead CPU (no-OC) that has functioned 100% for years or PSU's (Corsair HX520W) go semi-faulty that crash memtests I am suspecting the P5K motherboard.

What do you guys think? How could I possibly confirm the motherboard is dead without spare parts?

Axe0, thank you for your reply again.

First I used the small and large FFT (in-place) tests for 30 minutes - everything stock. This generated a continuous 100% load and no errors. While I am still getting multiple crashes a day ... if this was the issue I believe it would surely fail. But I tested on.

    Attachment 65977
    Attachment 65978

I thought what the hell let's go for it and ran my overclock on it. Ran a full-blend (including ALL RAM and 4 threads) test for 4 hours (not in-place) ... 0 errors:

    Attachment 65979

Rrright ... so now I don't know what to do anymore and I am *still* suspecting the motherboard. But then again ... why doesn't it crash during all the testing .
