What happens:
I was playing Tiberium Alliance on Chrome. First I heard no sound, then the display turned purple. I cannot control alt del. I have to restart my pc manually. Sometimes it just restarted itself if I keep waiting for it to respond.

What I have done to troubleshoot:
1. I use IE10. Same thing happened again and again.
2. I run memtest, no problem found.
3. I disable c-state (no idea what is it, read it somewhere in this forum), my pc still crash with same symptoms.

extra info:
It is a brand new pc with the following specs:

Windows Edition: Windows 8 Consumer Preview
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @3.5GHz
RAM: 16 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System
Driver: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560
Driver Version: 9.18.12.9617

High Definition Audio is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?

Lot's of errors in the WER section of MSINFO32 - most relating to video.
One odd one tho' - etdrv.sys Most references say it's a Windows driver, but it's not on my system. I tend to think that it's associated with a company named ETRON. My searches seem to think it's related to a camera driver (maybe a webcam).

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): DuplexSecure - FAQ

Some free alternatives (I don't use them, so I can't comment on them)
KernSafe iSCSI initiator, Virtual CD/DVD-RW Emulator, Virtual Encryption Disk and Virtual CD/DVD-ROM Emulator All-in-One free software.
MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

Audio and mouse drivers date from 2009, please update them.

Update Webcam and Video drivers

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

Thank you for your time to look into my problem. I don't know why High Definition Audio is disabled by default. I have 2.1 speaker connected to L-out at the back of my pc. Anyway, I have enabled it. I have also uninstalled Demon Tools Lite. All my driver is up to date.

I got one cheap usb webcame and i think ETRON might be its driver. Though I just plug and play.

I am just a home user that know absolutely nothing about debugging :( Now I try to enable hyper-V in windows features, as suggested in previous post.

If you experience sound problems, feel free to disable the Audio device again.

As for debugging, that's why we're here. If the system continues to give BSOD's, just zip up and upload the memory dumps (they are located in C:\Windows\Minidump) and and we'll see what they say.

Crash again while playing browser game on IE10

I have read the links you post. Unfortunately it is too difficult for me to understand it.

brief description of what happened:
While playing Tiberium Alliance on IE10 for about half an hour to one hour, the colour of my screen was distorted and the colour turned purple. I could still move my mouse for some time. Afterwards the pc completely freezed and restarted itself. This is the website of the browser game: https://alliances.commandandconquer.com/home.

Is the problem caused by the game or corrupted third party video driver of my pc? My pc crashed everytime I play Tiberium Alliance(browser game). Should I reinstall my windows?

Follow instructions step-by-step.
Ask questions about each step if you have problems.

1) Update video drivers from World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies | NVIDIA Get the latest Windows 8 64 bit drivers and install them on your system.

2) Uninstall Daemon Tools/Alcohol % software. Then use this free tool to remove problem sptd.sys driver (if present this MUST BE DONE): DuplexSecure - FAQ

3) Update mouse driver. More info on mouse driver at this link: Driver Reference Table - t_mouse.sys

4) Update audio drivers from manufacturer's website.

I am not posting the results of the memory dump analysis. If you'd like to see them, please let me know and I'll run them again.
