Computer shutting off when waking from sleep. No BSOD.

No BSOD actually pops up, but I know the error is something with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA as I've read the .dmp files. This is a fresh install of windows as well. Make is Sager.View attachment 65699 is the zip file. Thanks!

Hi stewbug,

Welcome to the 8forums.

The error you are saying is actually a BSOD.

Are there any dump files from at least max a few days old?
The dump you uploaded is almost a week old.

Is there anyway to force the computer to write a dump file because of what happens? When I put the computer to sleep all is well. It's when I try to wake it up is when the computer shuts off and tries to restart but turns off again almost instantly. Sometimes it tries to start a second time but again stops. I have to manually turn it on after that. So I know I can reproduce the crash, I just have to put my computer to sleep and try to wake it, but is there any way to force a new dump file?

How to configure Windows to create minidump files

Please do the following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

I did exactly as you said to do, but it said "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation" both times. Now what?

To find out if a 3rd party driver is involved it needs to be stressed out.
Most of the crashes in general are caused by 3rd party drivers.

Diagnostic Test

DRIVER VERIFIER

Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.
Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

Note   Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Okay, so as soon as I started that and rebooted I got a BSOD with DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION(Scpvbus.sys). I've tried disabling driver verifier through all three methods, command prompt, system restore, and startup settings, each met with a BSOD or error in the case of system restore. Now what?

EDIT: I've booted into safe mode and deleted the settings and now I'm back into normal windows. Now what's the next step?

I'm back to regular windows again, is safe mode again necessary? I can just upload the new .zip file for the dump.

The cause is ScpVBus.sys which belongs to Scp Virtual Bus from here.
If you don't have it anymore, please remove this driver.
