The .json files are false positive btw, these are for the windows 10 upgrade.
These .json false positives are most likely coming from the windows update KB3022345.
Yes, thanks. The GWX just came through.

I do too. But it was a AV report but was registered and signed by Avast.

Okay I just had a very strange thing happen:

I closed everything except Speccy and ran Heaven benchmark again. I was going to reboot and then try the WU graphics driver. Upon reboot, I had a crash - the first one ever for me. NO ERROR CODE, just the sad face. It quickly tried to restart, and hung at a black screen. I held the power button down to shut it off. Tried to reboot and it went into recovery options. I started in Safe Mode and turned off Driver Veirfier. I then ran WhoCrashed and found there is NO dump file!

Did a restart, and it hung for a few minutes, so I just waited to see what would happen. I now see the login screen with the Vince account AND the Guest account. Never had the guest account enabled, ever.

I'm trying to get to the Vince account now, but it's just a black screen with a mouse cursor.

Try disabling Fast Startup to see if that helps the disk activity on startup. Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 8

Yes I've had that disabled from the start.

Not only did it turn on the guest account by itself, it also had changed all options to SLEEP for both battery and plugged in for all options-power button, sleep button, and close lid.

Did it do some sort of recovery function? A BSOD will sometimes alter settings.

Post #93-it did take me to recovery options after the BSOD and I went into safe mode to disable driver verifier.

BTW - is there anything that driver verifier collected that I can grab for you?

I am ready to try out your sysprep idea before I clean install this thing. I know you'd like to take this opportunity to test out your theory...

Simrick, I am not sure it would un corrupt system files, but it would strip out third party drivers. It should work the same in 7,8 or 10.
