My daughter's laptop recently began generating random Win 8 BSODs. Thinking it might be video driver related, I updated the nVidia GeForce GT750M to the latest version of the driver on nVidia's site. And still... it seems to random BSOD once or twice a day.
Last night I started an upload of some data to the cloud (which completed) and then sometime around 4AM, sitting there unattended and idle, it restarted.
I previously cleared the event log and was able to see the error codes, not that it does me any good. They are a bit cryptic for me.
I have the mini-dump file too. But I think the BSOD tool will likely gather that info as well.
Any help interpreting and tracking down the BSOD problem will be appreciated!
Thanks.
Edit: I'm at a point where I'm ready to upgrade(?) her 8.1 installation to Win 10. But am hesitant to do so until I get this BSOD issue resolved.
(I say hesitant because I really like Win 8.1 and haven't found in my brief exposure to Win 10 that it's that much of an improvement over Win8.1... and in some ways is a downgrade!)
