BSOD playing games in general, IRQL not less or equal(ETD)

When playing either League of Legends or now even Archeage I get the BSOD every now and then. The computer restarts and I can resume everything normally until the next BSOD which might be a few minutes or hours.

On the BSOD:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ETD.sys)

I've googled of course but can't find a proper solution... Answers to other people with this problem on this forum seem personalised, thanks a lot if you'd help me out

Welcome to the 8forums.

That the solution for other people who have the same crash doesn't work for you, is because you don't have the same programs, files etc on your system, for a lot of people is the cause different.

It seems the cause is a driver called ETD.sys which is the ELAN Input device.
I don't know what this device is, but you might need to update the software/drivers via the manufacturer from your mainboard or laptop.
