blowback

Hi,

I have been getting a BSOD with different error codes nearly every day since I received my laptop.

I have run the dell BIOS hardware diagnostics, which found no errors.
Updated all the drivers to the latest ones on the dell website. Still received BSOD.
Updated the network driver to the latest one on from the Realtek website. Still received BSOD.

Every time I ran a full virus scan with McAfee I received a BSOD. I therefore removed McAfee and installed AVG. I can run a full scan with AVG without getting a BSOD however I still receive BSOD on other occasions.

Some of the bug checks I get are
0x000000E3
0x00000018
0x0000003B
0x00000139
0x1000007E

Please can you help?

Thank you.

  • Please update your Nvidia drivers and read this Nvidia thread for a possible solution for BSOD's.

  • Please scan your pc for viruses and malware with windows defender and Malwarebytes.

Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.

Some windows drivers are blamed, but that usually means that a 3rd party driver is actually the cause.
In order to get the driver, we need to stress it out, done via driver verifier. If driver verifier finds a violation the pc will crash.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.
