It is constantly happening. So, I cannot pinpoint what is causing it. It says to search for KERNAL or CRITICAL PROCESS DIED. IT also does not complete the data collection as it immediately restarts after a few seconds. I will upload what I think is something related to the dump file but I cannot locate the actual file in the root folder. Thank you for your help.View attachment 64731

Please run the tool again, there are no dump files.
Please check C:\Windows\Minidump and make sure there are at least 1 dump file

(C: is the letter of the windows partition, if your windows partition has another letter use that letter.\)

That is the issue i'm also having, there are no dump files to be found. I searched on the root folder and in windows with no luck. I even checked the dump file path in System Properties and it is pathed to the default location. I do notice that the fan runs very high all the time and it does crash when I only have a few windows open or when I am attempting to update it.

It should be created whenever you get a bluescreen.

Ok. I am at a loss. It doesn't create any kind of dump files nor does it let me do anything due to it blue screening on its own after I open a few windows. Should I just do a completely fresh install?

Sure thing. I also double checked the memory dump location and it was %systemroot%\Minidump. Is that ok? I changed to the one you specified to see if that does anything.View attachment 64746

Disable everything except for kaspersky.
Press winlogo + r, type msconfig press enter. Go to services tab, check 'hide microsoft services' below and disable everything except for kaspersky.

Reboot and see if the crash still occurs.

I will try that now. I also noticed that when I tried to update the Intel wireless card, it would also crash. Could that help?

Not really, the cause of the crash could be a billion things, depending on how much you have installed, or its hardware or windows itself.
I assume the 'process_died' crash is caused by a program right now, for a troubleshooting plan.

I think disabling all of those startup programs really helped. I am noticing the fan is not running as high as it normally was. Would you happen to know if any of those startup programs are known to cause slowdown?

Nevermind. Now it is frozen on the blue screen. Also when I go to run the tool that is available for download, it says the path to the dump file is not found. Where should I go to repath the dump file?

Unfortunately I don't know with the startup programs from taskmanager.
The difference between your and mine startup program list is that these aren't in my list, I don't know if these could cause any trouble

  • ATLauncher
  • fsquirt
  • kaspersky
  • media check tool

Please make screenshots of your services in msconfig.

Search for the dump file, normally called MEMORY in windows folder and in minidump folder in same folder as MEMORY file.

Also, set the path for creating dump files to default. Windows creates automatically the minidump folder and a MEMORY file.

Ok, i've disabled everything except Kaskersky. The last time it blue screened, it was frozen on the screen. Nor did the percentage increase. I had to hold the power button down in order for me to restart it. What could be preventing it from creating the memory file?

I have no idea what is causing the prevention of creating the dump file.
Please check again and change a few settings if they aren't like this:
  • Control Panel - System - on left side Advanced System Settings - Advanced tab - Startup and Recovery - Settings - System Failure - check the box to Write an Event to System Log
  • uncheck Auto Restart
  • make sure the Write Debugging is set to small minidump
  • and the default folder should look like %SystemRoot%\Minidump.

Try a clean boot and see if you still get a bluescreen
Also run sfc/scannow in admin command prompt (right click windows logo, press x and enter).
If sfc/scannow finds problems, reboot and try it again.
Please upload the cbs.log file if sfc/scannow still finds problems after you've tried it a few times (found in C:\windows\logs\cbs where C is the letter of the windows partition)
