BSOD During boot at Win8.1 logo everytime pfn_list_corrupt

Hi there I've had trouble with my PC during boot up pretty much since I got it.
Basically it BSOD's every time that I have a loading screen with the Windows 8.1 logo.
Generally it's some sort of corruption that it mentions but the most recent was pfn_list_corrupt.
From what I've researched it could be an incompatible driver or bad ram/memory?

Does anyone know what this means and if it is fixable?

    Thanks

    Gareth

    0x0000004E: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
This indicates that the memory management Page File Number list is corrupted. Can be caused by corrupt physical RAM, or by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists.
    To start with:
Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. RAM tutorial with Memtest86+ | Windows 7 Helpforums
Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.
    This test takes a while.

Hi axe0, thank you for your response. I ran the memtest program today and it came up with 98 errors, these all showed up when I began the program. So before I left for work it already was showing 98 errors but no more had appeared when I got home at 5pm. It ran through 8 passes.
So I guess its the RAM then?

Try each stick separatedly and test each stick.

Then you'll have to get new RAM.
Buy a few, 2 of 4GB or 4 of 2GB is adviced in case you have a damaged stick you still have other RAM sticks.

    That's great I'll look into 2 x 4gb sticks I think. Thanks again!
