BSOD in an attempt to boot from CLONED Win 8.1 on USB HDD.

I cloned my OS onto a partition on my external USB HDD using clone 11 software. I wanted to boot from that external hard drive by choosing it from the boot device bios. It runs and shows the windows logo, spins for roughly 20 seconds and then it flashes a BSOD (managed to read the error after repeating few times), the error was "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE".

How to fix this? I want to boot my Cloned OS from the USB HDD.

You can't just 'clone' your OS to another component with any kind of software and boot from it.
As far as I can find you'll always get a bsod.

If you want to use an external USB HDD for your OS, you have to install on it.

Ok can i do that and afterwards migrate the old OS onto the new one?

secondly how to install it on external harddrive (not using windows2go)

and finally, my laptop has been shutting down randomly with "critical process died" error, and once my skype stopped working "..due to I/O error".

Yes, you can migrate the old OS, because you're not using it anymore once you have installed a new OS.
If you want to install on an external hdd, you have to connect the hdd, boot via the installation disk and install the OS choosing the external hdd.

If you have any .dmp files, use the DM Log Collector tool to collect data and upload the created file as an attachment.

When i try to do so, I can't choose the external HDD partition because it says something about "connection" or so.. I just can't continue from there.

I installed windows 8.1 on my external USB HDD hard drive, and I have a clone of my internal windows 8.1 OS, how do I apply the clone files to my External hardrive OS? Like I want the installed programs and files to be reinstalled again (I have patched games and updated programs that want them to be on the new OS)

I don't think you can use macrium to add the copy to the OS, because macrium probably only recognises its own file extensions.

Have you installed w8.1 with an image?

What do you mean by with an Image? (no offense meant, I am just a bit confused)

If you mean by .iso burned to a CD, yes, I did that!

Well No, the clone is literally the exact same thing as another hard drive with files in it (I can access these files)
However I what if i used macrium to back up this clone and then try to apply it.

I used Windows2go by Aoemi partitioner. I'm afraid that due to the method i used to instal windows on my External hard-drive the backup thingy might screw the new OS.

I'll create 2 backups and try to apply the clone backup, if anything goes bad I'll just backup from the original one.

Thanks for the tip btw :)

To apply something from macrium on the OS, you need a bootable windows pre environment created via macrium.
