BSOD when using Photoshop CC

Hi there,

I have a new laptop and recently I've been getting quite a bit of BSOD during my work with Photoshop CC and Adobe suite in general (win 8.1 x64). I've also noticed that it also tends to surface during games/video sequences.

typically it gives me two types of BSOD

  1. kernel_security_check_failure for WUDFRd.sys
  2. DRIVER_PAGE_FAULT_BEYOND_END_OF_ALLOCATION

I'm guessing that it somehow has to do with video drivers since it started after the recent update from Nvidia. Tried rolling back driver / doing clean install, but that did not help. Could anyone provide some insight please? Thanks in advance!!

System:
Intel Core i7-4710 (no overclock)
GeForce GTX 860M
Intel HD Graphics 4600
16 GB RAM

Hi shinezu,

I have analysed the crash.
The cause of the crash is your nVidia driver.
Please update the nVidia driver

Code:

I got the same error. and I've installed all drivers from scratch, and update them and everything. i was desperate cuz i had projects to finish and this rubbish kept going blue. So the only solution i got is that after few crashes of Photoshop it deactivates the hardware acceleration so ... after that it works like a charm. but i think that is not a good solution ... maybe something else will come up later....maybe.
