Hi Experts,

First of all I apologize for not being word-perfect in English, as you would notice, it is clearly not my native language.

So, I'm been having some multiple BSOD problem in a couple of months now. Here are the specs:

  • Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Processor (watercool)
  • MSI Z97 MPOWER
  • 4 x (4GB) Core Series - DDR3
  • Corsair RM1000 Psu
  • Corsair 780T case
  • 2 x GTX 780 Lighting (watercool)

Pretty in love with this specs despite the fact it BSOD a couple of times a day

For now, I've seen this BSOD error :

  • DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
  • UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
  • KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
  • NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM

This BSOD occurred without any apparent cause, It randomly happens when I browse the internet or watch a movie (does not happen if i play Heavy Load Games = GTA 5, Witcher 3). It also happen when I was writing this thread

What I've done for now is :

  • Check my RAM with Memtest, for about 2 days.
  • Remove and Reinstall RAM and power connector on my motherboard
  • Remove my Bit defender 2015
  • Remove and Reinstall my all my driver (CPU , Motherboard, GPU)
  • Install all current windows update
  • Reinstall Windows 8.1

Nothing change so far and I'm still getting this pesky BSOD. Also I follow the BSOD Posting Instructions and uploaded the file required.

A Billion thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Issacc.

This happened to me too. It was an unknown cause for my BSODs'. Ram may have been the cause but unlikely since everything was checked. Try typing this into an admin CMD:

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

It looks for corrupted files in windows update and fixes them. If it repairs anything, make sure to reboot! Then do this:

Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

That cleans bad components on the hard drive. After doing this, again remember to reboot!

And then after those commands, check with the sfc command.

sfc /scannow

If it still happens after running those commands, tell me and/or a computer technician! Hopefully you still have your warranty if this doesn't help.

I forgot to mention you don't need a power supply that big. get a 750 watt. That power supply may be a suspect too.
