Right, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you, I've been pretty busy the past couple of days. I've outline the details of the diagnostic test below, test the RAM and we'll go from there once we know the results.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. RAM - Test with Memtest86+ - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Note   Note

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

I had already run Memtest on a few occassions and my RAM passed everytime, the last time I ran it, I left it running for nearly 4.5 hours and allowed it to complete more than 4 cycles, but no errors showed up. I was running it from a bootable USB stick.

MDSCHED on the other picked up errors almost instantly, anyway, I'm going to test my RAM in my father in law's PC this weekend and run MDSCHED on that one to see if I still get the same errors just so I can rule out a fault on my mobo. It does appear that your diagnostics is correct though, so thanks for that, it's been a great help.

Is there anything else I need to look at in order to get my PC back to it's usual zesty self?

You need to run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes, 4.5 hours is nowhere near long enough to be conclusive.

Ok. I'll give that a go.

Once done, is there anything else I need to address?

I'm quite certain that my RAM is defective, at least according to the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool, when that showed errors I swapped the RAM over using modules in another PC and restarted a few times, my TCG errors have gone, I can run a full one hour Linpack test through OCCT where it would previously stop with an error and no explanation after 5 to 9 minutes and I haven't seen any blue screens since the swap. That 'defective' RAM is packed away at the moment and I think it would make more sense to test it on my father in laws PC as the donor PC is now in Manchester where the owner of that PC has just upgraded his RAM to 16gb (using a 2x8gb kit) but that way I can eliminate the possibility of a motherboard fault.

I didn't think I would get time to do anything today, but I have reinstalled the defective ram and started Memtest86+ (v5.01) and the PC is just about to complete the first cycle. I'm going to bed now and expect a full 8 cycles to have been completed before I get up.

I'll report back with my findings.

@Boozad: I used your link to download Memtest86+, when I checked the picture I had taken the last time I ran Memtest I discovered I was using a different edition, Memtest86, both were on version 5.01 but I suspect that I wasn't seeing errors as I was using the non plus version. I google the differences and found that the + was created to deal with newer chipsets but it won't detect correctly on older chipsets, the other won't work correctly on newer chipsets. So using Memtest was the right idea, not knowing the difference when I did run it is where I went wrong, I never would have found any errors with the wrong version!

Here are my before and after pictures:

    Attachment 63215Attachment 63216

Clearly there are issues. Will start the RMA process.

Should I mark this as resolved or is there more to look into?

I am still getting errors in my Event Viewer logs, one for the same Event 10, EnhancedStorage-EhStorTcgDrv and the other is Event 131, DeviceSetupManager.

Getting BSODs every once in a while, why? in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
Hi, for some reason I got a BSOD a couple days ago. It's not the first time I got one. Last time I had it was quite a few months(maybe a year) away. It gets stuck at collecting error data or whatever 100% so I just force it to restart and then my PC is fine. Is this something to be worried about?
