Random BSODs when using battery:DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

It's a Dell Inspiron 17 5748 laptop with a dedicated GPU Nvidia GeForce 840M.

The problem only occurs when I'm launching any program which trying to run on the dedicated GPU, when the AC is not connected. When this happens the launched program will freeze, and about a minute the OS will crash with this message:

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

But it's totally random, sometimes works and everything is fine, sometimes not, and I get a BSOD...

Already tried LOT of GPU driver versions in the past. I'll look for update again, but it's very likely that it will not work.
