    BSOD - Special_Pool_Detected_Memory_Corruption

    Hi,

I'm currently finishing up my first personal build computer, so it's safe to say my technical skills are nowhere near perfected.

I installed Windows 8 after putting everything together, but have been having problems ever since. I first believed it was an issue with the drivers, as there was a network controller driver that was giving me errors in device manager. Installing the last Intel driver from my motherboard disk fixed that though.

After fixing that, I was getting more BSOD problems which told me it was probably still an issue with a driver. The error was usually Bad_Pool_Caller or once I received DPC_Watchdog_Violation. I troubleshot those issues with what I could find online and an application called WhoCrashed, but am hoping to get further help now with the issue starting to drive me mad. I've been working on and off for 4 days on this.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Update from WhoCrashed software for another crash today. Computer crashed while playing H1Z1 on Steam. WhoCrashed software seems to blame the game for the crash but I don't believe h1z1.sys is a valid driver to check. Nothing noticeably wrong in Device Manager.

    Crash Dump Analysis

    Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

Bug check description: This indicates that the current thread is making a bad pool request.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: h1z1.sys .
    Google query: h1z1.sys BAD_POOL_CALLER
