BSOD at sleep. Caused By ntoskrnl.exe+150ca0

Trying to figure out where to start. I can't really figure out a pattern, but sometimes my computer crashes during shutdown, restart or if I enable sleep. The only pattern I notice is that the longer it is on the more likely it will crash when I restart or shutdown.

    Message I see on screen:

Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error
info, and then we'll restart for you. (100% complete)

If you'd like to know more, you can search online later for this error: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE

It will set there with this message for about an hour, usually I just hit power switch at that point.

Are there any tools that I can use to figure this out myself?
I used WhoCrashed and BlueScreenView and both say it is in ntoskrnl.exe, but how do I drill deeper?

    WhoCrashed:
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x150CA0)
    Bugcheck code: 0x9F
    (0x3, 0xFFFFE000DE8F0870, 0xFFFFF80226B55AA0, 0xFFFFE000E8715270)
    Error:
    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
    file path:
    C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Hello IsaacFL, I'll see if I can help you with your issues.

Your VMWare Bridge Driver is being flagged. Search for an update for VMWare first and foremost, are you running any virtual machines when you shutdown, restart or sleep? The VMWare Virtual Network Adapter driver is the one that's causing the power state failure.

Your Intel 82566DC Gigabit Ethernet Driver has also been flagged. It've quite old and needs updating, this may be responsible for the VMWare Bridge Driver crashing too. Check here for an updated version.

I so seldom use the VMWare that I think I will uninstall it. Looking for the Intel 82566DC Gigabit Ethernet Driver to update.

    latest

I have uninstalled VMware. I found a driver for the Intel 82566DC Gigabit Ethernet but, it is still only dated 10/2012. Not sure Intel supports windows 8 for this. It hasn't crashed during a restart (yet) but it did crash during sleep. I did another dm_log_collector:

Still not able to narrow this down to the cause

I just installed a new network card (TP-LINK TG-3269). It still crashed during the sleep process so I think it has to be something other than the NIC.

I ran a dm_log_collector after this latest crash.

What I have done today is I did a refresh. So I will see how it goes after a day and then start reinstalling software.
