    Windows 8 Release Preview Crashing

Ive had problems with crashing since I installed the Customer Preview, I thougt it was going to be fixed with the new release. But It wasn't.

My RAM is fine, I ran Memtest yesterday without any problems.

    Intel Core i5 2500k
    16GB RAM
    Geforce 560Ti

I'm not very good at debugging at this level, so please help me out!

Try using the Windows 7 GPU drivers instead of the 8 ones. Worked for me.

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

No signs of crashing in the reports that you submitted.
Please zip up and upload the memory dumps from C:\Windows\Minidump

Then it's most likely a hardware problem (although the missing memory dumps could be a symptom of their own)
Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

CAUTION: Read at bedtime, as it'll probably put you to sleep! :0)

Ive been looking around and it seems that nvidia is comming out with a new driver for win 8 and that should fix the problem.. my computer is doing the same thing.... very frustrating

I have the same problem with the 2500k and the GTX 560ti. I think they're conflicting with each other. Hopefully the new Nvidia drivers will fix the problem!

Windows 8 Release Preview Crashing
Related Threads
Greetings, I currently have Windows 8 Release Preview, it is my main OS. I have many programs, files, settings, etc. My question is when the final version of Windows 8 comes out will I be able to upgrade to that version from my current version (Windows 8 Release Preview). What I mean by upgrade...
It crashes after waking from sleep. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 restarts until I'm able to get back into the OS. Attached is the dump file. Thanks in advance, Ben
I kind-of like Windows 8, but do you?
My sound used to work in the consumer preview fine but since I upgraded to the Release Preview I need the volume max and headphones in to hear anything. Any help appreciated. If more info is needed just ask.
For those who have already tried it, please feel free to comment in this thread the changes you have found compared to Consumer Preview. Thank you.
5510We have info that Windows 8 Release Candidate will be called "Release Preview" and that will be launched sometime in late May or early June. But we must say that all these are just rumors. 5509 Source: winunleaked
