    After BSOD "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR", ran chkdsk ...

    i ran chkdsk /r and it all seems fine now.

    i checked event log then /windows logs/applications and then found the source with "wininit" (was told this was the way to check chkdsk results).

    so the result was
