Okay so this is getting very annoying to me since I just built this monster and have NEVER had anything like this happen to me...

Basically randomly my computer will goto a Black Screen, (not right after login, but usually after a little while, or after hours), and I wait to see if it goes away, and it never does, so I am forced to restart the computer.

It may be an HDD issue, which I am getting an SSD or two here soon but for now I would like it to work since I spent a lot of my money on this machine.... You will see the attached "DM Log Collector Tool output" on here aswell...

As for computer specs they are as follows
- AMD FX-8350 watercooled by a Raystorm ex420
- 32gb GSkill Ares 1333
- Dual r9 290 dd xfx in crossfire
- asus rog crosshair formula-z mobo
- 1300w evga supernova g2 80+gold
- 750gb 7200rpm hdd(also tried 500gb) with fresh install of win8 + drivers straight from manufacturers.

Programs on it would be AMD catalyst, AISuite II, AVG PCTuneup and Internet Security, ROG Game First.

Just did a fresh wipe on the 750gb installed drivers, havent loaded a game and its happened already where usually I'd have to put somewhat of a load on the computer for it to do it. Even though it has done it within minutes after starting before I even do anything on it.

some people say PSU is the issue but its not even a month old and is more than enough juice.

No problem at all figured I'd try trial and error on it since its my baby now lol. Also did install 8.1 on an SSD and it worked perfect, think its just something to do with 8 not supporting quad channel RAM. (From what I have heard)

Hmm, that is strange. I don't think that there is a compatibility issue with the Windows 8 but rather your motherboard.

Once again, thanks!

The motherboard is this: Crosshair V Formula-Z, from what I read before building the computer it was one of the best AMD mobo's on the market. Also the RAM I used was in the QVL list....

I am not an "expert" at building yet but isn't quad channel basically just you can use 4 sticks of RAM?
