Random BSODs + sudden lag / fps drop

Hello, I've been having this issue for quite a long time. Basically I would get random BSODs eg IRQL not less or equal, system thread exception not handled, page fault in nonpaged area, and just a few minutes ago, kernel security check failure.

They would occur randomly, sometimes when I'm playing games (Final Fantasy 14, Guild Wars 2), and sometimes when I'm just browsing on chrome with less than 10 tabs open. When lagging / fps drops occur it would only last for 10 minutes or so, but sometimes it would lead to a BSOD.

I've attached the required files, any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Here are modules that are causing problems:
avgldx64 (AVG browser toolbar, utilities and probably stuff left from AVG Internet security un-installation)

The system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application.

You can use a x64 bit remover from their site to remove:
Download tools and utilities | AVG Worldwide

Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys (Nvidia driver)

Updating driver for NVidia adapter from DELL site for your notebook (if you didn't already) could help
Your driver it looks is out 1 year of date since dell's website offers new version:
    Product Support | Dell US

Alternatively you can obtain a driver and test it from this site:
NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver for Grand Theft Auto V WHQL

Thanks for the reply! I've used the AVG remover and updated my Nvidia driver, but the fps drops still happens. Any other solutions?

Well you first need to define what kind of problem you have, because lag and low fps are not the same thing.

FPS (frames per second) are dependent on your graphic card / CPU etc...
very low fps would mean that your hardware does not cover games' minimum system requirements.

Latency ( or lag ) is related to network such as upload/download speed and has very little if nothing to do with FPS.
lag would mean that you shoot a bad guy in some online game but the time needed for your PC to send data to the game server is so long that the guy from other side would already be somewhere else and would survive.

There are cases in MMO games when both high Latency and sucking FPS happen in same time, but they are not the same thing and mostly not caused by same problem.

Oh okay, I've been using the word interchangeably without knowing the exact meaning :P . My specs are waaaay above the minimum system requirements for the game. However my laptop would do this thing where it just slows down and basically the in game fps would drop below 10fps. It happens even when I'm not playing anything. For example I'm just browsing some site, and suddenly it takes a long time to scroll down (everything becomes choppy). If I try playing some vid, it would play but the image would only moves once per second.

    I hope it makes sense..

In the above link ( dell website ) there are newer drivers , It's recommended that you install fresh drivers first.
Fresh drivers can make a difference.

as for fps and the events you described, it is most likely a problem with graphics driver, did you test the driver from nvidia link I gave you?

Additionally when did you last time reboot you wireless router?
from time to time routers cause connectivity problems so I would recommend ( if you didn't already ) to restart it, and make sure wireless driver is updated cos there is new one.

Also you have a lot of start up programs enabled, please disable as many as possible. these can all affect networking and gaming experience.

when you do all this reboot and try again running a game or video for testing purposes, then we'll see what could be done next.

oh btw, make a speed test to see ya ping and share the image here by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

Hello, sorry for the late reply. What do you mean by installing fresh drivers? Do you mean uninstalling whatever I currently have and reinstall it?

I already updated my current driver to the GTA V ready via the NVIDIA geforce experience app that I have on my laptop.

I have rebooted my router and disabled some startup programs. Problem still persisted. Here's my speedtest result ->

I encountered new BSOD after I updated my NVIDIA INTO THE GTA V ready, if i remember correctly it was kernel security check failure and driver check somethingsomething..? I forgot. Anyway I'll be attaching another log. Thanks

I hope you do not have paid version of avast! ?
cos I think you'll have to remove it and replace by some other AV for now so we can keep a track on issue.

Other dumps are also related to kernel space, so it's definitely driver issue

Nah I have the free version. So I'll remove avast for now then? I'm downloading and installing the rest of the drivers right now What antivirus should I use for now? Since I've removed both AVG and Avast now hahaha.

Why cant I install the new BIOS driver?

edit: I've installed all the drivers on the site you provided except the audio one, it kept on giving me an error :/

You can use Windows defender built into windows, I think it has enabled it self when you removed avast, to be sure open control panel and type "defend" into search bar.

    > Why cant I install the new BIOS driver?
updating BIOS can screw up you PC very bad if done wrong, and there could be no way back without PC repair, if you want to take a risk follow instructions carefully, but for now it's better to just skip it.

    > I've installed all the drivers on the site you provided except the audio one, it kept on giving me an error
you do not need to uninstall drivers from device manager, just ran the setup from website, if setup contains new version it will update, if not it will skip installation.
What error you got, what does it say?
