Hi Rick, the good news is all of your BSODs point to one culprit, the bad news is your CPU is likely going bad, probably the L2 Cache.

There are only a few things to rule out before we point all the blame on your CPU

1. Ensure you are not overclocking in any way until we have a stable system. Check the inside of the PC and make sure you have proper airflow. Clean the inside out with a can of air or low powered vacuum to remove any built up dust. Monitor temperatures

2. Restore your BIOS settings to default
Note: This is not your PC but the instructions are similar to load BIOS defaults.
How to Reset the System Setup (BIOS) back to Default on the Alienware X51 | Dell US

I would consider removing Norton and enabling Windows Defender

Use Revo to uninstall Norton
Completely Uninstall Programs And More With Revo Uninstaller

Enable Windows Defender
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/21962-windows-defender-turn-off-windows-8-a.html

With nearly all of your crash dumps pointing to the same problem, if the above doesn't work, I would replace the CPU

There are very few software issues that can cause this error. If you have any driver/bios utilities installed, remove them. Other than that and resetting the BIOS which you've done, this is going to be a CPU or system board failure. I would demand both to be replaced.

There are very few software issues that can cause this error. If you have any driver/bios utilities installed, remove them. Other than that and resetting the BIOS which you've done, this is going to be a CPU or system board failure. I would demand both to be replaced.

OK Im interested in what they have to say. I doubt seriously that a consistent BSOD pointing to a specific cause every time is going to be a software issue. The dumps would display at least some randomness and throw up a false flag here or there.

No thats ok you don't have to do all that just the direction they try to take this and how long they want to act like its not a hardware problem.

Thats good, lets hope for the best.

A BIOS setting can do that but we reset it to default so technically that shouldn't matter. We shall see.

yay a big update

Thank you for your recent contact!

As we have already discussed, it has been determined that we will set up an onsite technician visit to repair your system.

Here are all of the details that you should know in order to make this process as smooth as possible.

1. The part(s) will ship directly to the Onsite technician within the next 2 business days depending on the location coverage and as long as the part(s) are in stock.

2. Once the parts have been picked up by the Onsite technician, he will call you to arrange a time for the service to take place. Please note that the Onsite technician will only be able to work on the system during business days from 8am to 5pm.

3. Additionally, the Onsite technician will need a space in which to work on the PC.
(Example: a well-lit, flat surface with a towel or similar to protect the system from scratches.)

4. Once the repairs are completed, the technician will return the defective and/or unused parts back to Dell.

If you would like to check the service call status, please visit our online status tool:
