My computer is like 1 and half year old, never had problem with him, just little one - PC accepted only 4Gigs of ram instead of 8 (read plz http://www.eightforums.com/drivers-hardware/63984-hardware-reserved-ram-1-2-8gb.html).

OLD INFORMATIONS WHEN I HAD WINDOWS 7:
I get random BSOD "error codes" or rarely PC restarts, with different reasons, mostly while not playing any game. I didn't change any components for a long time, and didnt installed new drivers. (It couldn't be cuz theyre old, some games I played then and now without them updating, so nothin with drivers I guess...)

Few days ago, I reinstalled my WIN 7 x64 to WIN 8.1 x64.
Next day, i got BSOD....

MiniDMP file in attachment.

Please get all available Windows Updates.

Remove Gigabyte software and your GPU drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller.
This appears to be a HW issue. My suspicion is that your GPU has a problem. Please, stress test it with FurMark, but be very careful, and follow these instructions to the letter: Hardware Diagnostics

Tested my GPU with FurMark benchmark, seems stable.
Updated ETRON USB drivers.
Removed drivers that you wrote here which can be problematic. and disabled nVidia stream service.

I will write back at next problem :) If not, I will mark this as solved :) For now, thanks, hope it'll get fixed :)

I have nVidia Streaming Kernel Service disabled (CtrlV.cz) (Now)
I uninstalled whole AMD catalyst center, because I couldn't find .sys file, nor disable it. (Now)
Week ago (Win7) I had 2x4 sticks, and I tested them for 11 passes. But, for troubleshooting reasons I changet them with my friend for another, well working pair of 2x4GM sticks. Different manufacturer, different CL timings. Do you think it is necessary to test these sticks?

EDIT:
Windows crashed without BSOD and I had to restore from restore point. (+disk controls etc...) All changes reversed :/ I will not change anything till next BSOD.

EDIT idea:
Can it be hardware related? Because, I reinstalled WIndows to solve BSODs, and they remain. RAM sticks should be fine, I changed them as I wrote up here...

Thanks for response :)

Yes. That's why I'm asking you to test RAM, GPU and these things. I'm suspecting a hardware problem. Prime95 test please.

Ok, alot BSODs happened after that system restore point... Programs that I uninstalled are partitially back, so I have to delete them again. I will do that. But, system just randomly drops alot of different BSOD messages, and it threw an driver "storport.sys" problem. I was going to install Microsoft Office, and PC crashed like 5 times. Last BSOD is not even dumped completely because it got stuck and I had to restart manually. Oh, and once PC got stuck on BIOS loading screen...

P.S. I have Prime-95 running, what I have to do to find an problem? Which method, and if something will happen, how am I supposed to evaluate it?

EDIT: Uploaded new dump
EDIT 2: It seems, like that BSOD is not written in dmp... It was brand new error status (like, I didn't have that yet), unfortunately I dont remember it... (if, and which driver BSOD blamed)

Thanx :)

Upload a prime95 log. You should carry out SmallFFT and Blend tests.

Uninstall AMD drivers using DDU, you are using a GTX 760 GPU.
Disable nVidia Streaming Kernel Service in services.msc
If you haven't already, please enable Driver Verifier: http://www.sysnative.com/forums/bso...ted-windows-10-8-1-8-7-and-windows-vista.html and post a new dump when it crashes.

Okay, verifier is turned on as you requested.
1. AMD driver removed using DDU (yeah, found that :p) //BTW dont know what it did there, maybe with MBO drivers?
2. nVidia drivers updated, and Streaming Kernel Service disabled.
3. Prime95 run OK, checked log, nothing but OK statuses

But I got some BSODs. First, I thought it is not a BSOD, because I didn't see the blue screen with :(, but apparently it was, or PC got restarted when I was away (?).

Anyways, here are dumps (packed with old ones, verifier turned on I think yesterday...)

>PC crashed like 2 times during writing this, last time BSOD got stuck at 0% and I had to restart PC, no dmp from that.

>Thing that I noticed: I play online game. PC never crashed me during 2-3 hours of playing, and suddently, I turned the PC on, Chrome, basic stuff, writing simple text to forum about previous crashes during doing something else and PC is crushing every 5 mins?

EDIT: new dmp when PC crashed right after submitting this reply, uploaded :)

Memtest86+ was clean on my RAM sticks I had before, through 11 passes. Now, for troubleshooting, I changed my RAMs with my friend. They have same basic specs (MHz, size), but different manufactorer (Patriot-Kingston) and CL timings. I can test theese too, if you want. I am currently using Google Chrome. Only add-on is Ad-Block :) I willmaybe switch to Firefox for troubleshooting. BTW, when I turn PC on and leave room, I see PC running (case glowing, fan running), but screen idle (orange light), or I had something completely weird - blue screen like BSOD without text, and once even orange screen without text. PC wasn't responding to mouse nor keyboard, so I had to restart it. Today, I deleted CMOS and just clicked load defaults - or whatever it was. I will let you know about next BSOD

//edit: actually, some of theese errors was saved into DMP, uploaded :)

Situation update (so check older post too):

>Installed newest BIOS

>Sometimes, PC doesn't even start, or it get stucked on bios screen. Considering BIOS downgrade, but dont know if BIOS update was the case.

>My insight: I play games on this PC, with uncapped FPS (so @60 monitor but 70-130 fps. If I am playing, PC never fail. If I turn PC on and do not open the game, or browse the internet (btw, installed firefox to be sure chrome is not the cause, not sure yet), I get BSOD, or restart...

Can GPU has something with BIOS freezing?
//Forgot to say, Windows got frozen a few times, like in Win95 days (no visual response to anything, hard reset necesary)

Here is picture of that orange screen (happened only once)

Will do. (BTW by SFC you mean windows system file checker?)

Just response to overheat/drivers

Have installed newest drivers aviable for my GTX 760
GPU has 3 fans and PC case is well aired with 4 fans, and only overheat problem that I had was while playing Saints Row IV on full details, result was: lags, fps drop, but that was long time ago. I run few GPU tests a week ago, GPU temperature seemed to be fine with no problems.

Will write again after SFC test

UPDATE
Finnaly new BSOD error code!!!!

After /sfc at 95%, windows restarted. And once more this same. At next PC startup, this happened

While booting, before windows logo, BSOD appeared, text was badly aligned and looked like different resolution. Error code: DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

I attached minidmp file. It seems, like Windows saved whole RAM into big DMP file, I can upload that too, if you will want me to (216MB, 28MB zipped) :)

//had to write this like 3 times, because windows restarted/BSODed

AMD USB Filter driver is the cause. In other words chipset drivers. What was connected to the computer at the time of the crash? Did SFC finish?

The usbfilter.sys is "AMD USB Filter Driver". Please download the device driver from MB site. Uninstall your current problematic driver and install the new one manually.

Then lets refresh the USB Stack Control Panel - Device Manager - click anywhere in the blank/white area - then VIEW - Show
Disabled Devices - look everywhere (except USB Controllers) for any hidden/disabled devices
(may have none or more than one) and Right Click on it - UNINSTALL.

Control Panel - Device Manager - USB Serial Controllers - RIGHT CLICK on EVERYTHING and
UNINSTALL all except the category itself - REBOOT - this refreshes the driver and the USB stack
