My computer has been randomly crashing and freezing. I have installed all updated drivers, I have run driver verification, and I have run scan disk tool.
I am not sure at all what the problem is at this point, as it only happens when I run something that is graphically intensive. If I try to run games or graphics benchmark tools, the system crashes, but if I am running a movie or watching videos on YouTube or similar sites, I am not having any issues at all. It was suggested that perhaps my old video card (9800 GTX) was the issue, so I bought a new graphics card (the one currently installed) and that has not fixed the issue either.
I don't get a classic "BSOD", however, when the game crashes it does create an event log which shows two errors:
Unfortunately I only have one event log currently as I tried a clean install of Win 8.1 Pro to see if that would fix the issue, and it hasn't.
I am at my wits end and hoping that someone here can help solve the problem.
