    Crashes/Freezes ntoskrnl.exe ntkrnlmp.exe

    Attachment 59754

My computer has been randomly crashing and freezing. I have installed all updated drivers, I have run driver verification, and I have run scan disk tool.

I am not sure at all what the problem is at this point, as it only happens when I run something that is graphically intensive. If I try to run games or graphics benchmark tools, the system crashes, but if I am running a movie or watching videos on YouTube or similar sites, I am not having any issues at all. It was suggested that perhaps my old video card (9800 GTX) was the issue, so I bought a new graphics card (the one currently installed) and that has not fixed the issue either.

I don't get a classic "BSOD", however, when the game crashes it does create an event log which shows two errors:
    • This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1509A0)
      Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFE00111B574A0, 0xFFFFF80378BA08E0, 0xFFFFE00114032B40)
    • This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrnlmp.exe (nt!KeBugCheckEx+0x0)
      Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFFE00111B574A0, 0xFFFFF80378BA08E0, 0xFFFFE00114032B40)

Unfortunately I only have one event log currently as I tried a clean install of Win 8.1 Pro to see if that would fix the issue, and it hasn't.

I am at my wits end and hoping that someone here can help solve the problem.

Hi everyone So basically I'm having a problem with the new PC I built some months ago ... it crashes randomly (no BSOD, just a total crash with a weird lag sound). And when it does, I restart it and I check my CPU temp ... it's around 55C so I guess the problem ain't overheating. Weird...

Okay so I haven't gotten a proper BSOD since the computer doesn't actually power down, the screen just goes black and the speakers play a buzzing sound. It doesn't happen too often and if it does it usually seems to be within a few hours of turning the computer on (I leave it running unless I go...
Hi all, I was hoping to bring the 'big guns' on this forum to bear on my problem. My friend has an Asus UX32A notebook with Windows 8. To provide some back story (the meat of the problem is after this paragraph if you want to skip)... It is brand new with hardly anything installed on it...
Been having the occasional blue screen every few hours for the past week or two now, I've been trying to pinpoint exactly which drivers are causing the issue or if it's something more serious. It's a custom built machine and around 18 months old now, so it's not completely unlikely that some of my...
