Hi everyone,
I've been struggling with freezing issues on my computer for the better part of a year. I can't tell if it's a software or hardware related issue.
Processor: Intel i5-2500k (3.30GHz running at 4.30GHz)
RAM: 12GB 1600MHz
WD 2TB Drive as primary.
My Windows 8.1 desktop will freeze at random moments without a given notice. There doesn't seem to be any type of event that triggers it more than others and no way that I've noticed to predict when it could happen. I've gone as little as 10minutes running smoothly before it freezing to as long as 3 days before it decides to freeze. The freezes lock everything. All hardware stops responding. However, typically, I can still hear a bit of audio for a minute or so before that begins to hang as well, but if there was a media player, for example, the seek bar will stop moving.
I have a Logitech G510 keyboard with backlighting. When the computer freezes, if I turn off the light of my keyboard, it won't turn back on, just furthering the idea that the hardware is locked.
I've attached the logs as I've been asked to do.
I can't tell if it's hardware as I've changed GFX cards from an older Nvidia GTX260 to an AMD R7 260X. That seemed to have helped with some issues but not all. I recently did a fresh OS install hoping it would help but the problem has returned. I'm wondering if it's a pattern based on some of the applications and drivers that I've installed or if it's really a hardware issue. Maybe a failing harddrive, ram or even my new GFX card.... I've also tried doing system maintenance, correcting the .NET files, doing a DISM repair, doing a SFC /scannow and a few other fixes that are slipping my mind at the moment, but did not work either.
Anyway, I have no BSOD screen to go by and I've searched the Event Logs multiple times and found nothing of use. Please, if anyone can help me out here, It'd be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if more details are needed.
Thank you!
