For a start I know there will be solved cases out on these forums with the right answers but I really wanted to create my own thread specific to my computer, os and drivers.

Looking at this I know its about the graphics drivers but I don't know how to fix them if I should uninstall and reinstall the drivers by the driver manager or some other way and then where to get the replacement drivers from.
I have AMD catalyst control centre
I am a frequent user of CCleaner and Driver Booster
I know its not a driver I have installed from driver booster because I have never have gotten updates for the graphics drivers from driver booster.

Please Help

In the time I posted this thread and the time that you posted your reply I have removed Firefox to see if the BSOD happens outside of it (so far its only happened in Firefox) and are using a different browser. I have also followed the steps for a fix (for atikmdag.sys BSOD) and am going to wait to see if the BSOD happens again. So therefore I am not going to post a proper diagnostics file. I'll only post it if the BSOD happens again.
I hope thats :thumb: with you.
If you want me to post the diagnostics file anyway, please say.
Also in the the case that the fix doesn't work and the BSOD happens again, (lets say it happens a few weeks, months from now) will I still get a reply even though the thread is old?

Thanks

Sorry but I said that I uninstalled Firefox in the last post. Still I usually checked for plugin and extension updates and never added any dodgy tick 'recommended' box extensions.

Anyway, I have attached the log made by the tool.

It seems it was an optional update for the graphics, which seems ironic, Here is the title: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - AMD Radeon HD 8400. Its embarrassing it being a graphics update and the fact that my problem is about the graphics, I checked for updates yesterday and it found none, I swear. :info:

EDIT:
I don't understand, it says the update was released in April and I have just got the update now, why?

Probably it's optional and you haven't looked at optional updates at all.

Urgent: Bsod happened again

Hello Again!
As you may/maynot remember I changed my browser to Google Chrome because of the atikmdag.sys BSOD's I was having. I got fed up of Google Chrome and changed back to Mozilla Firefox and within the first 3 days of having it installed I encountered the exact same BSOD again (Today). This is the only time since I have last posted (Feb) that I have encountered the BSOD. I have only encountered the BSOD when using Mozilla Firefox to browse the web/watch videos. I know from using debugging tools that this BSOD is caused by a graphics card driver. (atikmdag.sys located: system32\drivers\atikmdag.sys)

I am going to download the tool provided by this forum again and run through the process and attach it to the next post!
BUT THIS TIME I AM NOT GOING TO BE STUPID AND ACCIDENTLY GET RID OF ALL THE CRASH DUMP FILES USING CCLEANER! BEFORE I RAN THE TOOL. THAT IS THE REASON YOU DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM DEVICES! OOPS!

URGENT: BSOD HAPPENED AGAIN (log tool)

Here is the file generated by the tool!

EDIT:
I really want to keep using Mozilla Firefox and don't want to resort to other browsers but as it is looking so far, without any help I will have to continue to keep quiet like I was doing and use a different browser such as Opera because I sure ain't going back to Google Chrome

Turn off hardware acceleration and try. If it still crashes, try running it without Add-ons.

I have turned off hardware acceleration in Mozilla Firefox.

You will have no further problems. I and a number of other folks I ran into on a Toshiba Forum had this problem while using FF but no problems since turning off hardware acceleration.
