    BSOD dpc_watchdog_violation MULTI-MONITOR

    Hello everyone,

First, I'd like to apologize for my bad english.
My computer crashes when I start a fullscreen window (especially games) on my main monitor (I'm using multimonitors).
When I unplug my second monitor, everything works properly.
I've got a BSOD and DPC_Watchdog_Violation shows up.
Sometimes my computer becomes laggy, I try to shut down the application and few times later my computer crashes.

I just tried reinstalling GPU drivers.

Hi Nicolas & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analysed your dump files and below has been provided an analysis of the same for informative purposes :-

The DPC watchdog detected a prolonged run time at an IRQL of DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
Arg1: 0000000000000000, A single DPC or ISR exceeded its time allotment. The offending
component can usually be identified with a stack trace.
Arg2: 0000000000000501, The DPC time count (in ticks).
Arg3: 0000000000000500, The DPC time allotment (in ticks).
    Arg4: 0000000000000000

So according to the analysis, it seems that the NVIDIA Driver was trying to acquire a lock on resource but could not acquire one because the DPC (Deferred Procedure Call) timeout which was allotted to it (500 ticks) was overrun (It took 501 ticks) which caused the system to crash.

Kindly follow the below steps, one step at a time -

    1. Please download the latest drivers from this **LINK**.
    2. Please remove Gigabyte Easy Saver utility from the system as it is known to cause problems.
    3. Please remove LogMeIn Hamachi as it is extremely old and is known to cause BSODs.
    4. Have you tried installing an older driver from NVIDIA? Kindly remove the currently installed NVIDIA Driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller from this **LINK**. Once it has uninstalled the driver, kindly install a driver which is few versions older than the currently installed driver.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

As you'll know, with multi monitors in Windows 8 you have a start screen on both monitors - but when you launch an application, it'll launch on the screen it was previously on rather than the screen you launched it from (the screen you were using the start menu on). What I was wondering is if...
