Solved BSOD driver_power_state_failure on restart/shutdown

Hi guys,

I'm having big trouble with my lenovo laptop.
At first I'm always getting a BSOD DPSF (ntoskrnl.exe) when restarting or shutting down the laptop.

Second, when I try to install/uninstall drivers or just scan for hardware changes nothing happens. I waited 3 hours the most and it doesn't do anything. Well it is showing me the progress bars and they move but as it seems infinitely. In the safe mode uninstalling and scanning works but installing the latest drivers from the lenovo page doesn't work either and aborts with some error messages... (here within seconds)

I've already tried a couple of things including driver verifier (see the dmps), disabling all startup programs and services... nothing works.

I really hope that you have some good advices for me. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I did the following steps to solve the problem:
- sfc /scannow --> nothing found
- uninstalled all VPN software in safe mode
- several WAN Minport #2 * had issues. It was impossible to uninstall them. I installed a new driver from the list and after that I could uninstall them. After a reboot windows installed all the devices again with a correct driver.

The device manger is "clean" now. No more issues and the BSOD is gone.

Thanks for your help!
