BSOD WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR when rendering certain video

    Hello BSOD Gurus!

Recently (past 3-4 weeks I would say) I have been getting random BSOD with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR when rendering certain videos in Adobe Premiere (both in CS and CC if that matters). I have monitored the CPU usage and Temperature during these renders, and it seems like the files that give me the BSOD tend to have a higher than normal CPU usage (anywhere from 80-100%!), but the temperature isn't *too* bad (Speccy says it's around 55 degrees at its peak)

I've attached the necessary information...if you can help me sort this out I will buy you a virtual beer! I render videos as part of my work, so this is really putting a nasty monkey wrench in things.

Thank you again 1000x in advance!!!

Update drivers in red. Arcsoft seems to have caused one of the BSODs. But most of them were caused by a HW error. Test your CPU with Prime95 Blend test.

    Hi Softwaremaniac!

I was *so* convinced it was the Elgato Game Capture card! (I started having these issues as soon as I started using it). But unfortunately I just did a clean reinstall of Windows 8.1 and I'm still getting blue screens when rendering these specific videos.

I ran the Prime95 blend test and got the same BSOD after roughly 5-10 minutes. The results.txt just says:

    [Mon Feb 02 16:03:31 2015]
    Self-test 448K passed!
    Self-test 448K passed!
    Self-test 448K passed!

    Self-test 448K passed!
    Self-test 448K passed!
    Self-test 448K passed!
    Self-test 448K passed!

reading the stress.txt file with Prime95, it mentions that "Another possibility is
you might need a better power supply. A power supply problem can often be identified by a significant
drop in the voltages when prime95 starts running." Someone else on the Reddit suggested something similar. What do you think?

Thank you again in advance, let me know if you need more information on anything.

Fill in your system specs, please. Upload that minidump file that was created after the BSOD during Prime95.

    Alright attached!

I tried to make sure that I updated all my drivers and whatnot after the clean install...also there shouldn't be any Arcsoft or Elgato drivers anymore.

A couple of interesting things...first is that the Prime95 blue screens pretty much immediately after Test #1 completes (and I assume Test #2 begins...whatever that is testing). I retried Prime95 again after making sure I had updated everything and it crashed in the exact same spot (I deleted the old minidumps though as not to confuse things)

Another is it really seems to be tied to the CPU usage. So far I've been able to force blue screens when rendering this certain video file recorded with the recording software OBS (80-100% CPU usage), by trying to convert the file with Handbrake (100% CPU) and now with this Prime95 (100% CPU). When I render videos recorded with Dxtory (another recording software) it uses 50% CPU max.

Let me know if you need any more info! Thank you again!

    Is your CPU overclocked?

Not to my knowledge. And I have reset the Bios settings to default. Is there anything specific I should look for to determine if it's being overclocked somewhere?

Could you try other tests in Prime95?

You bet! Here's what I did and what happened:

First I ran the Small FFTs test...took 5 min or so for the BSOD to happen but finally happened. Also got the following error and worker #10 stopped early in the test:

    [Mon Feb 02 17:38:15 2015]
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

Then I ran the "In-place large FFTs" test and blue screened very quickly...less than 30sec for sure.

I'm about to head to bed, but if you need any more information I'll check this thread as soon as I wake up. Thank you again!!!
