    Self appearing processes

    Hello,

Just week ago installed Windows 8. From the beginning noticed, that in the task bar appear blank processes, didn't pay any attention then, I just clicked on them and they disappeared. But if you don't click on them, there appear more and more. Here I have took some screens imgur: the simple image sharer

P.S. bug doesn't do any harm to software, but damn it is annoying! Pls help!

    Thank you.

Usually happens when you install themes that change wallpapers.

so, isn't there any fix for this? Or I just should use static wallpapers?

    Hi maksud,

One workaround that seems to work most of the time is to change the Window Color in your theme to Automatic (it looks like a rainbow fan). The system tries to find the predominant color in the wallpaper and changes the window frames to match it. The one drawback to this is that the theme can change to rather odd colors sometimes.

Yeah...it doesn't always work. Hopefully it will be ironed when the next preview comes out.

The other workaround is to switch to one of the Win 8 Aero auto color themes (Windows or Nature). Then add your own wallpapers and remove the existing ones if you don't like them. For most people this seems to work.

No, you have to download the .iso from Microsoft then mount it. Copy the entire contents of the mounted .iso to a local folder on a hard drive or SSD.

Then run setup.exe in the Sources folder and choose Upgrade install.

It will keep all your files and settings intact.

No, the new preview edition that will come out around the first of June, will not auto-update. You will have to download the iso and install the way you did the Consumer Preview...a clean install. But....some folks here on the forum have mentioned that you might be able to do it as an update. I personally don't know if this will work.
