Hi!

I hope I've managed to gather all necessary information, thanks for supplying this forum.

I get DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD from time to time - it seems mostly to occur when laptop is not connected to a power-cord.

Hopefully I'll upload the necessary SF Debug files.

Many thanks in advance.

So, according to the dump files, your Intel Wireless Driver and Intel Bluetooth drivers are causing the problems. Below is a list of 3rd party drivers present on your system -

Please follow the below steps -

  1. Kindly update the Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver from this **LINK** (Click on Show All Downloads). Make sure you download the drivers for your Intel Wireless LAN and Intel Bluetooth and update as well from the above link.
  2. Please remove Daemon Tools as it is known to cause problems.
  3. If you still face problems, kindly remove AVG using this **TOOL** till the time we are troubleshooting. Once you have removed AVG, make sure that you enable Windows Defender.

Let me know how it goes ^_^

Bad news

Hello again.

:(

Two BSOD:s have occured. Here's the thing (I assume it's relevant): it seems it only happens when my laptop is running on battery, not when connected to a power-outlet?

Anyway, here's a new log.

Thanks again in advance.

To be precise: BSOD (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION) occurs when the laptop is running on battery, on "return" when I open the lid to use it again.

Hi henbenn ^_^,

Sorry for the delayed response. I just needed a break :).
I took a look at the dump files but the dump files haven't saved any information :(

Kindly turn on Driver Verifier according to this **GUIDE** and let it crash the system for a few times. Once the system has crashed for a few times, kindly re-run the SF Diagnostic ZIP File and upload the latest ZIP file :)

Thankyou softwaremaniac!

However, I've tried - really tried - to update the driver for Rapid storage technology and failed, failed, failed. I feel like a need to be a sysadmin to figure out how to do this. It's just too complicated and nowhere, nowhere, have I been able to find a "how to" guide.
I went to the Intel-site and managed to download stuff, this is what I got;

iaahcic (folder)
iaAHCIC.inf
iaStorA.sys
iastorac (folder)
iaStorAC.inf
iaStorF.sys

In all places I've found any form of info on this there's supposed to be an .exe-file but here it's nowhere to be found.

So. This raises two questions in my mind.

1. How do I update the drivers with these files.

or

2. Do I need Rapid storage technology? Wouldn't it be easier to simply remove something that's been causing BSOD?

Please advise, your help is more than appreciated.

Thanks everyone!

I didn't actually uninstall the Rapid storage-thingy, but managed to update more drivers and since then it's worked fine.

Again - many thanks for excellent ideas and help. I really needed it!

All the best!
