Using Macrium's redeploy to new hardware, I transferred my current Windows 8.1 system to a new PC. That worked smoothly. WIndows booted and I was able to install all drivers with the exception of the Intell HD graphic drivers (4600). Every attemtp to install results in the BSOD message Windows 8.1 system_thread_exception_not_handled (igdkmd64.sys). I can restart the machine and it boots fine with the basic VGA display. I have tried the latest and greatest drivers from Intel with the same result. I do plan to install a 3rd party card soon but in the meantime I could use some ideas on how troubleshoot this. I did try deleting the current VGA driver updating to the new driver but the BSOD reared its head part way through the upgrade. Thanks for any insight.
