Okay, so I have worked this problem for 3 weeks now. I am a Computer Engineering Student so I understand a lot of the terminology. So basically randomly when I close the lid of my laptop instead of going to sleep it shuts down. Attached is everything the SF tool picked up great information but still cant decipher the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also side note I noticed the problem happening more when my Razer Naga Epic is plugged in and/or removed. I have uninstalled and deleted drivers for it and started from scratch but with no success in improvement.

Uninstall Asus bloatware, take care of the npf.sys: Driver Reference Table - npf.sys, update nvidia drivers and disable Nvidia Streaming Kernel Service within services.msc. Bluetooth driver is casing a lot of issues on your system, please update it. I'd recommend physically detaching Razer devices and removing their drivers as they were known to cause issues (BSODs) in the past.

Okay from what I have found on the web about npf.sys it sounds like its not necessary for anything? Would you say that too or would you recommend getting rid of it. Its the last thing left on the list of things to improve. will see if it is successful.

Its really okay you getting back to me has really helped me. The event viewer is not showing errors yet and I've had the laptop up 2 hours now.

Side note the LENOVO ATK Hotkey ATK0101 ACPI UTILITY Driver I cant find it both in services and the drivers list with hidden shown turned on. Is there any place I may find it. As my computer is ASUS and not LENOVO so that presents a problem if that's still on here.

I will wait 24 hours but if everything is good I will click solved on this.

Are you using Norton AV? Update drivers in red. If you have any Bluetooth device connected unplug it and also uninstall the Bluetooth software\driver.

Okay softwaremaniac. I have gone ahead and deleted the ATK package completely because the that red one is the most recent from the ASUS website. They must have the wrong one on there as this is an ASUS laptop so idk why its Lenovo. I have also deleted the npf.sys file. I did make a copy so that if I get errors I can just stick it back in. Also I dont have Nortan at all. I also dont have Bluetooth software. I went ahead and deleted the drivers and disabled it on the services as I dont use bluetooth and dont plan on it. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow. If I get a crash I will let it do it a few more times and post a new dump file. If this work I will also let you know. Again thank you for your time and help in this matter.

Test 3

Okay here we go. So I did all that stuff disabling of the bluetooth device. and disabling it in the services. But, I forgot to delete the drivers them self. I just did that this morning. As well I uninstalled Razer Synapse and Razer Mouse Drivers too. I did have a crash last night so I am updating the dump files. But so far sense the crash last night everything is running okay. I think I forgot to restart after doing all that last night so the hardware was still running.

I will post a second update later today on status. I am uploading a new set of dump files just to have you double check stuff if you can. Also you could do me the favor of looking at the event logs. I have multiple DWORD errors and I'm 99% sure its a registry error but was curious in your opinion will this effect my computer alot and if so do you know how I might fix them?

Thank You

Monitor your PC for crashes. Let me know if crashes recur.
