BSODs caused by "ntoskrnl.exe"

Hello everybody, thanks by accepting me on this forum.

Some days ago I made a clean installation of win 8.1. (Due to lack of wifi signal on Atheros card)
Everything seemed fine until I got several crashes when using my laptop. At the beginning showing a "No bootable Device, Hit any key" message when booting.

I read that it may be due to the use of old drivers, so I downloaded both Vga and chipset drivers. The latest autodetect tool showed me a best VGA driver to use in my win installation, but stil had BSOD! (I uninstalled it leaving only chipset).

I had Malwarebytes' and read that sometimes has isses on win 8.1, so currently uninstalled.

This day I was happy thinking the problems were solved ("No bootable Device, Hit any key" and Bluescreen) until I got another Bluescreen.

I own an Aspire V5-551, A6 Vision AMD. Win 8.1. 64 bits, 10 gb ram, Atheros wifi (still not working but doesn't matter).

Hope you can help me to solve these issues on my laptop :cry:

Thanks in advance.

I am sorry for the delay in responding. I've been very busy and another of the analysts here has had terrible internet problems for the last week or so.

There are enough signs here that I have to wonder about this installation. Should this be a pirated copy of Windows, please be aware that we may not be able to fix it (as the hacks that were done to activate it will cause the OS to behave differently than we expect it to). If that's the case, our efforts to help may just waste your time. Secondly, the forum rules prohibit assisting with pirated software - so the topic would be closed if that is the case.

Please provide this report:
License Information (Windows 8)

  1. Right click on the
    aa922834-ed43-40f1-8830-d5507badb56c_39.jpg
    button
  2. Click on Command prompt =>
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command
    licensingdiag.exe -report "%userprofile%\Desktop\report.txt" -log "%userprofile%\Desktop\repfiles.cab"
  4. Once finished please go to your desktop -> You will see two files report.txt and repfiles.cab -> Please select both files and add them into a zip file
  5. Upload this zip file to your next reply

No Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 100 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.
NOTE: these symptoms were from the previous release of OverDrive. The new release uses the same driver name, but is dated from 4 November 2013.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Un-install". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :
