"Display Driver has stopped working" error. Random

Hi, I found this forum considering people knew alot about Windows 8 here. Anyways, I am running Windows 8.1, and I got this error while web browsing. The screen went black, then came back and said something about my display driver crashing, but successfully recovering. I have an Nvidia GTX 760. This has happened once before. It seems its completely random. I have updated all my drivers. I cant seem to attach the event log file as the site says its an "invalid file" I can upload it to dropbox if someone would like to take a look at it.

    Thanks guys

The event log is corrupt and cannot be opened. We do need the crash dumps though.

    Go to
    Code:
    C:\Windows\minidump
Upload all those files by copying (Make sure you copy the files otherwise you will get access denied, even if you're an administrator) them to the desktop and compressing them in a single .zip folder.

Or even better, upload a Kernel memory dump.

    1. Go the Start
    2. Right click My Computer
    3. Select Properties
    4. Click Advanced system settings
    5. Click on the Advanced tab
    6. Select Settings under Startup and Recovery
    7. Then under Write debugging information select Kernel memory dump.

Once a dump is created go to:

    Code:
    C:\Windows\memory.dmp
Copy the file to the desktop, zip it up and upload it to a file sharing site like Onedrive. After the upload is done post the download link in your next reply.

None of this fixed my problem. I fixed it accidentally. All you need to do is refresh your computer! WARNING: THIS WILL MAKE YOU LOSE YOUR FILES AND WILL RESET YOUR COMPUTER (SETTINGS, DATA, REGISTRY, ETC) BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS WHEN YOU FIRST BOUGHT IT. I found this out the hard way.

Your comment was completely unnecessary; it is also false. The cause of the BSODs depend on whether a reinstall will resolve the issue or not. Lastly, simply wiping the computer will not help us in the future, nor will it help you as you could reinstall the same software and come back to the same problem. Identifying the actual cause will prevent any further problems from recurring as we know what to remove.
Please do not make such comments in the future.
