I stepped away for a half hour. When I came back & moved my mouse aroud to wake up my monitor, the comp rebooted. Since then, I've been stuck in a loop between my motherboard's BIOS & a Jmicron BIOS.
I can enter BIOS (where everything appears to be fine & everything is set to optimized defaults) but I cannot boot an OS. I've tried my hard drive, a flashdrive & a DVD. The BIOS screens just keep looping & Win 8 never tries to start up from any source. I've shut everything down & let the comp sit. Came back & I get the same thing.
F8 doesn't give me an option to start in safe - it just lets me choose a boot device.
EDIT: Pulled my PCI-E card that was using Jmicron. Now I can boot from DVD.
