Hey Techies !

I Have been using windows 8 CP since its release and faced no problems yet. But since last week windows started to freeze randomly and there is no option other than to restart ! Tried various suggestions as given in other threads but nothing has changed.

Tried Updating the drivers, Installed Windows again, removed unnecessary applications . . . !

One thing i have noticed is windows freezes mostly when chrome and windows media player are running together. Never freezes while playing games or videos !

Attaching the Event Viewer logs !

Please Help and Thanks in advance !

If issues persist, uninstall UPS software and hardware, as a temporary test to see if it's the culprit.

I would also uninstall Afterburner and set Optimized Defaults in the bios and save, if needed. (Must disable overclock to test anything at all, or you'll just be chasing your tail.)

Bro updated the Mouse Drivers !

Creative drivers are already up to date.

No overclocking of any kind is applied ! Using Afterburner only to check temps and FPS !

I would definitely set Optimized Defaults in the bios, to ensure proper settings:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

(the CPU is off, and RAM probably is too)

Sure, you could turn off Turbo Boost and if/when things become stable, you can re-enable it to see how it goes.

Logitech and Creative still same, and so is the incorrect processor speed.

Afterburner still installed.

That shows your processor is running below spec, which automatically means things are not right in the bios. Did you set Optimized Defaults and save, in it yet?

And as said, Creative is not updated yet either. They are quite notorious when it comes to drivers. If you can't find an update, I'd pull the card from the machine and use onboard audio until things are stable. Once you have a stable platform, then you can easily see if Creative card/drivers are the cause when re-adding.

You're welcome. How I do things basically boils down to this - Make sure all drivers are latest, make sure hardware is set right. If things still aren't well, then I immediately look at any software that isn't common to most other people.

Your UPS immediately jumped out at me, so of course, I had to mention it.

You're welcome and best of future luck with the system.
