[h=1]BSOD error (UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP) also command prompt error when trying to restore health/corrupt files[/h]An hour or so before i got the BSOD message below in quotation marks, i deleted "PlayReady" folder (in program files then Microsoft) to try and fix a separate, sky go issue i was having. It then didnt fix the problem so i went into recycle bin and restored it. About an hour later whilst using my PC, i logged off of my main (administrator account) and into my daughters guest account. about 10 seconds after loading the guest account i got the message below with the BSOD. I dont know if when i deleted and restored the folder before has anything to do with the problem but it seemed too much of a coincidence to me. Anyway, the BSOD randomly came up and had a ":(". It the read below;
"Your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart. we're just collecting some error info and then we'll restart for you. If youd like to know more, you can search online later for this error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP".
The laptop turned on fine after this (currently still using it). I then opened an elevated command prompt, typed in "sfc /scannow". When it completed it said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
I then typed in "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth". It then completes that and says "the restore operation completed successfully. the component store corruption was repaired. The operation comepleted successfully". I then to double check, re type in "sfc /scannow" and hope it doesnt find corrupt files but it does. after scanning it once again says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
(i completed virus and malware checks, and have none if this helps.)

I apologize for the delayed response since I am having my exams right now.

I cannot tell whether it was AVG or not till I don't see the dump files. If you really want to give it a shot, make sure that you remove AVG using this **TOOL**.

Let me know how it goes ^_^
