Computer crashing like power outage, no bluescreen

My computer has been crashing but not bluescreening. It will go from running seemingly fine then it is just off in the blink of an eye like the power cord was pulled. This problem just started out of the blue one day and has been getting worse and worse ever since. I ran memtest and it did 4 passes and came up with nothing. I have tried reformatting and running it off of my segate drive alone and on the SSD alone with the other 2 hdd's disconnected. Ive tried running it with the bare essentials installed ... still crashes
in the event logs I get a Kernel- Power event 41 ID 63

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

    Start with these 4 suggestions:
    1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
    2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
    3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
    4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Nothing in particular stands out with these reports.
    Please do the following:
    - open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
    - expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
    - right click on Administrative Events
    - select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
    - save the file as Admin.evtx
    - zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
    - upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility: HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting

Sorry it took me so long to reply, December 5th, Friday it got so bad I stopped running the system all together because I didnt want to cause any more damage to the hardware. It had gotten to the point where the computer couldn't even make it to the log in screen. I decided to go ahead and RMA my PSU because in one of the last crashes before I stopped running it I got a BIOS boot warning "power surges from faulty power supply" or something like that. For about 4 days it has been running with the new PSU with no problems ... it appears to have been the problem. Thank you for your help, I appreciate you taking your time to help

I'm glad that it seems to be working well now. Thanks for letting us know!

FYI - while I'm confident that we'd have found the issue eventually, it would certainly have taken us weeks, if not months to uncover the problem in the forums. Good work!

EDIT: BTW - the Event ID 41 error is just Windows' way of saying that it doesn't know why it shut down (an unexpected shutdown). Those are usually hardware related - and we would have seen that in the log that I requested (the absence of any errors that related to the shutdown). Here's a link that explains more about the Event ID 41 errors: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028504
