Solved BSOD Since Purchase 0x0000009f & 0x00000133

Hey guys I need help.

I purchased this laptop a year ago and I had problems with it properly shutting down. I formatted it several times and that temporarily fixed the issue. I never had BSOD screens until now and when I checked the minidumps those improper shut down errors were a result of BSODs while shutting down or whenever I put the laptop to sleep. I attached the files for reference.

Thanks.

Your UEFI/BIOS dates from 2012. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any UEFI/BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the UEFI/BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard. If possible, use the "inside Windows" flash mechanism (if your OEM provides one) - that is much more forgiving than the traditional (floppy drive) flash method.

Only 8 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have over 200. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Lot's of Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 8 Forums for further expert assistance with this issue.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Most recent BSOD blames wireless networking drivers, the others all blame the Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) drivers
First, download a fresh set of the latest wifi drivers, then uninstall the current drivers, then install the freshly downloaded drivers
Also download and install a fresh set of the latest Intel RST drivers

wdcsam64.sys is known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems. Please uninstall the Western Digital software and then check to be sure that the driver is removed.

There are traces of your mobile card (air card) drivers. These drivers date from 2012 and may have BSOD issues, please download and install the latest, Win8 compatible drivers from the service provider's website.

If all of this doesn't stop the BSOD's, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Hi, just installed all updates and upgraded to Windows 8.1 No problems so far. I haven't done anything about the UEFI/BIOS yet. It seems like a daunting process. No BSODs so far. Marking as solved. Thank you.

Glad to hear it. It's OK to hold off on the UEFI/BIOS for now.
Should the BSOD's return, then try it.
Good luck!
