Random BSOD and crash. No discernible pattern.

Hi and thank you for reading this.

My PC started randomly crashing and BSODing with no discernible pattern. It was fine for about 4 months after I built it and had no issues at all. Without warning it rebooted itself while I was away and I returned to find it in the BIOS.

Since then I have had a collection of BSODs which have turned up randomly as well as just plain PC deaths where the speakers buzz and the display goes strange before the PC shuts down.

I have replaced the HDD and power supply. I have also formatted and started clean twice. Ultimately my PC settled down after the first format but would run into issues where after i closed an application I often couldn't open it again without restarting which prompted the second format and clean install. After the second format and clean install my PC ran perfectly for a week before a random BSOD and they have been occuring for the last two days now.

I have run memtest, prime and furmark without any issues and I am reaching my wits' end with this PC. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Softwaremaniac

Thanks for taking the time to look at my thread.

I ran sfc and it came back with no errors. (Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations)

I should point out that I ran sfc repeatedly after the issues initially started happening. I had not run it yet on this install until now as this install is less than a week old.

Thank you again.

Please remove Razer Overlay Driver and the Asus PC Probe because these utilities can often cause BSOD.

Hi again Softwaremaniac

I will uninstall Razer Synapse but I haven't installed ASUS PC Probe and could not find it on my PC.

Not having installed it and not being able to find it I am unsure as to how I can remove it. Should I remove any reference to it in the registry then?

Drivers are an unfortunate gap in my PC knowledge, especially when it goes beyond updating them so I apologise for my lack of knowledge.

All of Sunday my PC ran absolutely fine with nothing even close to a problem which is what has become so infuriating about this issue. It will run perfectly for days, weeks or even months and then at random become unstable.

Ignore Asus. It's my bad. I am working on several cases at once, and a client of mine had an issue with that. Please remove or update Logitech Drivers. (I've highlighted them for you.)

Ok, I've deleted the Logitech drivers throught the device manager hidden devices string. Should I also delete those files from System32 or is it enough have uninstalled them in device manager.

I should point out that the crashes started before my current mouse and keyboard. My previous keyboard was a no name brand PS/2 and my previous and current mouse is a Logitech, just different models.

I'll see how it goes and hopefully the issue is fixed. The problem with random BSODs is that I may never know if the problem is solved or not but I just have to wait. :)

OK, if it happens again, post a dump, and I'll see what I can do.
Kind regards, SM.
