How to debug BSOD on W8 caused by ntoskrnl or ntfs.sys :(

Hi guys,

my desktop was perfectly fine a week ago and suddenly I got a BSOD or two per day (4 to 5 hours using my computer).
All that I can remember is that I upgraded my GC driver 2 days before that and did some trick I didn't understand in the registry to help Battlefield 4 loading facter. I don't think it's related but who knows...

Please find attached a perfmon output, SysnativeFileCollectionApp and 2 dumps from today and yesterday.
The first one was without driver verifier and the second was with it. I guess it should help somehow.
I'm very interesting in learning how you could debug this so, don't hesitate to share your knowledge.

To me, these 2 dumps seems really different and I can't get what could provoke this, unless it is a hardware default which I really hope not...

Thanks a lot in advance, I will keep diging on google on my side.

Regards,

Then 2 at 6pm (not only ntfs it seems).
Here it is :

I tried a sfc /scannow but it did a bsod at 40% (the first one at 18pm), I will try to launch it again.

Do you think my SSD is damaged?

It seems to be worse and worse, after my second try of sfc, I got 3 bsod :

Not necessarrily, but your windows files could be. Please retry SFC and the SSD utility(I don't know the brand of your SSD drive).

Nothing to do, I have a bluescreen as soon as I try to execute sfc. My SSD is a Samsung 840, the SSD utility doesn't say much except for that firmware I updated.
I'm desperate, I tried to re-install Windows and got a bluescreen before the access to the interface...

Well, since W7, or Vista maybe, you end up on an interface with your mouse available when you boot on the dvd. I barelly see it and poof a bsod !
I have two hdd to test with.
I will test my RAM too, already did with the Windows tools but I will give it a try with Memtest.
I'll keep you informed. Thanks for your help.

aha, I see now. Is your installation DVD okay? Make sure you test EACH OF THE RAM STICKS SEPARATELY!(If you have several of them) Sorry for the caps.

I just got a new BSOD during "Getting files ready for installation" while installing Windows on my SSD.
I tried on one of my HDD and got "Windows cannot install required files, the file may be corrupt or missing". Well, I'm cursed. :D
Guess that dvd is corrupted then...

I did not test my RAM yet, I don't have any OS right now anyway so... I'll try to fix that before unless it is the reason why I can't install Windows.

Try another one and test your RAM using a method described on the link I provided.

Hey,

I did replace my RAM with 2x2Go Corsair, Memtest is OK after 10 hours so that's great.
Bsod are gone but I still have random crash (after 10 minutes or after 4 hours) on every games I'm playing. The crash won't only close the game, it will also crash every applications on background such as Firefox or Thunderbird... I got some freezes on youtube video also.
Moreover, sometimes I can hear a "crick" sound coming from my computer when I open a video, a new folder, launch a game... It can't be the drive cause it's a SSD so... What could it be?

I have the feeling that all this stuff is related to my problem but I can't be sure and I really don't know what is the composant which is failing. Could it be the power supply? This sound may be an electri arc, I don't know. :(
