BSOD for the clock watchdog timeout error

Ok so my bf who has a pretty nice computer with win 8 on it also its a OEM system. He keeps getting the BSOD for the clock watchdog timeout error and he tried everything that you had posted about before we tried it all. Im sad that we cant get it to work he is my gaming partner lol. I hope to get some advice i can get more info about his system if you need it as well thanks....
