Hi,

im having problem with my MSI 620DX notebook wich have integrated intel family 3000 graphic card as well as GT555M.. problem is that BSOD randomly occurs when im browsing the web and then after restart my GT555M is not detected in device manager and then on another day it is back there until another BSOD occurs. BSOD never happened during playing games it always does when im just browsing web or computer is just turned on doing nothing. im attaching dump file of last BSOD i would really needed help recognizing wich driver may be causing this problem :) ive also tried installing newest or even older NVIDIA drivers and formating disk C with win7 and installed win8.1 but nothing worked so far. Physicly card shoul be OK because i had it in repair for 3 weeks and they did everything they could to fix any hardware issues.

thanks for any reply :)

Sorry for the delay in responding. Do you still need help with this topic?
If so, respond and I'll be notified by email.

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum):
http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...e-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

While waiting for a reply, please try these suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Get ALL available, Windows 8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Thanks for reply,

i just have one quick question, will that debug software show correct results for troubleshooting even with my nvidia card (wich probably causes the problem) disabled? because if it is disabled or not found there is no probability for BSOD to appear and when it is present then BSOD occurs pretty often so it will be hard to run any debuging tools risking BSOD :)

im attaching .zip file with debug run without NVIDIA card as i tried to make it appear in device manager with some restarts and shutdowns etc. but it wont work. sometimes it takes a day for it to be detected again. if you need debug files with card please let me now and ill see what i can do :)

btw. i tried updating nvidia drivers, updating chipset and bios and installing win8.1 instead of win7 and nothing worked for me :/ and BSOD never happens when im playing games so i would rule out overheating too. BSOD says it has something to do with driver but i dont know wich

PS: also i would like to share information that i had it already checked for any hardware faults and the man repairing it told me there were some problems with nvidia card chipset and sometimes it was disconected so that caused problems and so he had to connect the card with blow torch (i think its called that but im not sure, im not native english speaker) to make sure it wont happen again so that sould rule out any hardware problem with it

The reports are incomplete. Please rerun the data collection app and let it run for at least 15 minutes (or until the app itself says that it's done).

If the system BSOD's, then it should generate a memory dump with information on the system as it was when the system crashed.
As for the other reports, don't worry about that for now - I'll question things that I see and we can discuss if it's due to the disabled card or not.

Just FYI - as video is involved in almost everything that you do with a computer, it's not unusual for video problems to be noticed the most, and it's not unusual for some other problem to manifest itself through the video.

One fairly common situation (in the BSOD world) is Daemon Tools. I often see video issues when it's being used - and it's also known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems. Here's my canned speech about it:

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).
Alternate link: Disk-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hi,

when i start dm log collector (with right click + run as admin) and then hit any key to start it only runs for 1 sec and then says it is complete and that it had created zip on desktop, but it only created folder which i had to zip myself and after i press any key to exit after it is finished it automatically deletes the folder.

with that second software SF diagnostic tool, it runs a bit longer but then i get the error with dotNET framework and it wont continue even when i click to ignore it. i am attaching zip file of this uncompleted diagnostic which ran longer that the first one.

at the meantime i am going to look at that daemon tool problem you mentioned, as i recall that few month ago when i updated daemon tools it also installed some crazy viruses like programs which i had to remove manually myself and also clean my PC with spybot search and destroy program.

PS: could you recommend any alternation for daemon tools?

thank you again for your help :)

Some of the reports were still missing, but I got enough info to form an opinion on what to do.

Due to the number of problems that you're having with the OS, with viruses, and with the video card, I'd suggest that you backup your stuff and then do a clean install of Windows. Don't add anything extra to the system and see how it operates then (here's a link on how to do a clean install: Canned Speeches )

If the BSOD's continue after that, then we can be pretty sure that it's a hardware problem.
Other possibilities are defective installation media, so be sure to use the official, legal installation of Windows that you own a valid individual product key for.

Good luck!
