Hi everyone!

I got about 80 BSOD last month, i think it was the MB, i send that in, buyed a new one, and still the same problem.

My computer specs is:
CPU: 4770K
MB: MSI Z97M GAMING
Memory: Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 16GB
GPU: MSI GTX770 Lightning
PSU: Cooler Master V1000
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD

I thinked it was the Lan port? I deaktiveted Killer program, I switched driver to
Qualcomm Athero AR8161 but no.

Still waiting for report on the other MB i send in to repair, it was a MSI Mpower Max Z87.

So anyone who can help? Have asked on a other site, but no, tryed everything I can think about.

Memtest for 10 hour, 10 pass, OK
CPU is OK
SSD? think that is OK
GPU, havent testet this in a other computer, but i think its OK, because I play BF4 whit no problem.

Please help me!!!

Have uploaded the dumps, after reading post here how to do it!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Do you still need help with this topic?
If so, respond and I'll be notified by email.

While waiting for a reply, please try these suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Thanks for the offer, but I do not take donations. I do this because I love what I do.

As this is a Win7 system, please understand that I haven't worked w/Win7 BSOD's for a very long time.
You may get more expert help at Windows 7 Help Forums

Please be sure that you have ALL available Windows Updates. Right now there are 188 listed, but I suspect that the number of updates is around/over 200 by now.

Killer Network Manager has been known to cause BSOD's in some systems. Please read this for some alternatives/workarounds:
At times the Killer Network Manager may cause BSOD problems:
NOTE:Link thanks to blueelvis (15Oct2014): https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=178064.0 This is a method for removing all the network software and only installing the driver. Perfect for those issues that can't be resolved any other way!

NOTE: See this link first: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...msi-gt70-dragon-edition-2-a-4.html#post358413 (thanks to kaelaan) It appears that the Killer Service problem was solved with the latest release of the Qualcomm versions of the drivers (so try updating to a version dated from later in 2014).
The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service/KillerNetManager is known to cause BSOD's. Please follow the workaround instructions here:
First, open the Run dialog (Win + R keys) and type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Scroll down and locate the "Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service" and right click on it. Select "Stop"
Right click on it again and this time select "Properties"
In the dropdown box for "Startup type", select "Disabled", then click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window

Next, open Task Manager (right click on TaskBar and select "Task Manager")
Click on the "More details" dropdown (if present)
Click on the "Startup" tab
Scroll down and locate the "KillerNetManager" entry, right click on it and select "Disable"
There may also be an Install Shield (with the Killer gaming K next to it), if so Right click on it and select "Disable"
Finally, restart the system in order for the changes to take affect.

At times the Killer Network Manager will continue to load. If so, it's usually listed in the MSINFO32...Software Environment...Startup Programs section. If it is, please try this:
It may be that the instructions aren't stopping everything.
In some cases, there's a program running out of the Program Files/Program Files (x86) directory.
"c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" (NOTE: killer~1.exe is most likely killernetmanager.exe)
In other cases, there's a program running out of c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe (the long string of letters and numbers may change)

Here's some things to try
1) Please see if there are any entries in the Startup tab of Task Manager that are related to Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer Network Manager (and NOT the card itself) and disable them (please let us know what you find) Be careful as the wrong selection can disable the network card.
2) Check in "msconfig" for any entries that aren't in the Startup tab of Task Manager. Let us know if you find any Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer entries there (we'll disable them differently if they are there).
3) Locate the "c:\program files\qualcomm atheros\killer network manager\killer~1.exe" and rename the .exe to .BAD (the killer~1 is actually a filename that starts with killer and ends with .exe) There will be an error in event viewer, but it'll stop the bugger from loading.
4) Locate the "c:\windows\installer\{Long string of letters, numbers, and dashes}\networkmanager.exe_130c27d738f34c89bddf21bcfd74b56d.exe" entry and rename the last .exe to .BAD (the long string of letters and numbers may change)

Just FYI - here are the MSI workaround instructions: MSI USA - Online Technical Support FAQ

Out of 15 memory dumps there were 8 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case. Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

You can get a head start on the hardware diagnostics if you'd like - they are located here: Hardware Diagnostics

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install them immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Also, if MSI Live Update is installed, please uninstall it as it's known to cause problems with some Windows systems.

If all of the hardware tests pass, then please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Have you uninstalled the MSI programs that I asked you to? They were MSI Afterburner and MSI Live Update.

Have you done the hardware diagnostics that I suggested? If so, what were the results?

If all the hardware tests passed, did you run Driver Verifier as I suggested?

The memory dumps still look like it's a hardware problem.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

NTIOLib_X64.sys Wed Oct 20 02:45:49 2010 (4CBE901D)
MSI Afterburner driver (known BSOD issues with Windows) Also found to be a part of MSI Live Update 5

Hi again, i uinstalled MSI Live Update and I dont have afterburner! I uinstalled this just straight after I postet last massage there, but i still got BSOD. Its the same BSOD as always.
I have uinstalled all Killer Network rubbish too.

Hardware diagnostic passed.

When I play games like BF4 its not give me BSOD, its give me BSOD when i dont do anything on the computer or i just surfing on the internet.

I have got a new motherbord, new PSU. Have also testet Memtest on ram for 10 hours.
The last have to be SSD, CPU og GPU that I just cant test in other computer, because i dont cant, dont have other computer to test in.

Can it be the SSD? Because when i test the speed, its OK.
Sequantial Read (MB/s): 553
Sequantial Write (MB/s): 534

Random Read (IOPS): 76403
Random Write (IOPS): 73625

Using samsungs own software test on this. And I have done the FIX from Samsung on this SSD, and upgraded the firmware.

But the computer feel Slow.

And I dont get any failure on the SSD when i take the Chkdsk.

Woundering about GPU that give med all this BSOD? what u think?

EDIT: I will use the computer some days now, and see how its go. If I got new BSOD, I will upload the new BSOD reports!!!

Which parts aren't new?

The tests are only software routines that are designed to look at certain points in the reports generated by the hardware.
Sometimes the tests don't test the area that is having a problem.

The most significant thing is that the computer feels slow.
Have you looked at Task Manager (all of the tabs) to see if you can identify which component is causing the problem?
For example, in the Processes tab you can see a summary of what's taking all of the CPU/Memory/Disk/Network
In the Performance tab you can see more details of what's happening with these items.

Just a hunch on my part, but please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog))
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

What is "over 500 fails :O"
Are you referring to the errors in the Admin Event Log that you uploaded?

Most of the recent errors were STOP 0x50 or STOP 0xA.
Please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Do you have a USB scanner attached?

Have you run Driver Verifier as I asked ( Driver Verifier Settings )?

Hello.

I have runned Verifier like u say I should, followed your link and instruktion!

And yes, I have scanner connected, or a printer, all in One.
Epson XP-205.
Is it that who give med BSOD?

The video card I have tried to switch between new and old drivers, just to see if that help, but NO! :/

Is it possible that the video card who give me BSOD?

Because I hade ha rubbish PSU in Chieftec brand. After I switched that and motherboard out, i got less BSOD, just in 7-10 in the week.
So can it be that the crap PSU damage my videocard? Because I asked the place I ordered from, and they say: we can take it in, check it, and if there is no problem whit it, we will charged u for the check. So hope after your analyze that we can find out if it is the card.

Please look at the "new" minidumps, one of them u got, but have 2 more there.

Btw: what BSOD analyze program do u use? :)

I was looking at the raw stack text - there are many things in this, but the 2 drivers taht I noted were USB and Scanner stuff.
Is the Epson XP-205 connected via USB? If so, that strongly suggests that it's drivers may be a problem.
Try uninstalling it and removing the drivers (and unplug it from your system) - then see if that helps stop the BSOD's

It's possible for a bad PSU to fry components (such as a video card) - but the USB and scanner drivers are more suspect than the video card at this point. FWIW - I suspect that this is a hardware problem rather than a software/driver issue - and as such, it's going to take some work to figure out what's causing it.

If, after removing the printer/scanner, you still get BSOD's, then we'll move on to checking other devices.

I use WinDbg and kd.exe to analyze BSOD's - and I use the BSOD processing app from here to help run many memory dumps at one time: OFFICIAL UPDATE: Sysnative BSOD Processing Apps - Page 2 - Sysnative Forums But mostly I use my experience with what I've seen after doing these things for many years.

Hi again!

Her u got new minidumps, have been on work for 2 weeks now :)

About 15 or 16 december, the printer driver was disconnected and drivers uninstalled, but there is some older minidump too.

  • OS
    Windows 7
Out of 14 memory dumps there were 6 different BSOD error codes.

As you've already done the hardware diagnostics and haven't found any problems - then I'd suggest that you start with this hardware stripdown proceure to help isolate the problem: Hardware Stripdown Troubleshooting

Also, I'm going to ask a couple of other analysts to pop in and see if they have any suggestions.

My Computer

System One

  • OS
    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!
    Computer type
    Laptop
    System Manufacturer/Model
    Samsung/NP780
    CPU
Came with the laptop (i7 of some sort)
    Motherboard
Pretty sure that it has one, but haven't checked inside the case!
    Memory
upgraded to 12 gB from 8 gB
    Graphics Card(s)
has switchable - Intel/ATI - Used wrong drivers, now ATI card is inop :( Will have to fix it soon!
    Sound Card
I'm nearly deaf, so this isn't used often
    Monitor(s) Displays
Touchscreen on laptop/32" Toshiba on HDMI (laid the Sharp TV on a mouse and cracked the screen!)
    Screen Resolution
    800x600
    Hard Drives
One Samsung 1tB drive - 5400 rpm. Gonna switch to a 7200/10000 rpm or an SSD (if I can find $500 for a 1tB SSD!)
    - Switched to 500 gB Samsung 840 series SSD - WOW!!!
    PSU
Why do we ask this for laptops?
    Case
Silver with a neat Samsung logo
    Cooling
sub-par, gotta get around to working on it soon Worked on it - still sub-par! :(
    Keyboard
Microsoft Natural - the same one I've used since it orignally came out around 1995
    Mouse
    no Mouse - Trackball!!!!
    Internet Speed
too slow when I'm waiting for a download to finish
    Browser
Yes, I use this (Firefox mostly, w/IE next most)
    Antivirus
    Windows Defender and Windows Firewall
    Other Info
    I'm handsome and a snappy dresser :0)
ty very much for all help!

I wil begin to take away parts.
1 HDD maybe, and 3 memery moduls, that everyting I can take away.
Maybe keyboard, but then i cant use the computer.
Can it be the networks port? where I use the cable? I have switched cable too. Should i use Wifi?
Its the same BSOD i got, now then before I switched the mb. So cant think that its the motherboard anyways.

But I will try whit just 1 memorystick, PSU, SSD, CPU, videocard, monitor and mouse/keyboard.

Many questions from me, but I really dont know what to do :/

I can buy new memery, new videocard and new SSD, and test whit that, and send it back whitin 45 days and get the money back, but it will be much money to use when I buy it, and I have to pay, too send the parts back again. about 50-100 dollars it cost me then.
