    Frequent BSODs

Hi I'm getting pretty frequent BSODs when I'm using my computer. Attached is the file I got after going through all the steps and using the diagnostic tool. As a note every time it crashes and goes to the blue error screen where it says it's collecting information it goes to 100% but never restarts so I have to manually restart it so if there are any issues with the file or you need anymore information just let me know. Thank you.

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

These devices have problems in Device Manager:
USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller ROOT\UOIP_BUS_DRIVER\0000 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.

Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) BTH\MS_BTHPAN\7&3F48110&1&2 This device is disabled.
In Device Manager, p7Please right click on the xHCI device and select "Uninstall". Reboot the system and check to be sure that any error with the xHCI device has been resolved.

As for the Bluetooth device, it is disabled. Is this deliberate? If so, why?
Please re-enable the device and update it to the latest, Win8.1 compatible drivers. If you so desire, feel free to disable it again.

MSI Afterburner and Riva Tuner (along with EVGA Precision) are known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems (it's driver is usually RTCore64.sys). Please un-install them immediately!

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Please note the drivers below that date from before the release of Windows 8.1 (17 Oct 2013) - check to see that each and every one is compatible w/Windows 8.1 (at the manufacturer's website). If not, you must either remove the device and it's software - or locate a Windows 8.1 compatible update on the web. Removing some drivers may make the system unstable - so if you're unable to find updates, post back for info on the one's that can/cannot be safely removed.

The drivers that are struckout don't have updates available (AFAIK).
DO NOT delete them, just leave them be.

Beyond this, as there was only 1 memory dump in the upload, I have these 4 suggestions:
    1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
    2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
    3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
    4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

I followed the steps you put forth and I'm still suffering from BSODs. Again whenever it crashes and goes to the blue error screen and tells you to wait and it will restart by itself it never does and I have to restart it manually. I'm attaching the latest from the diagnostic tool. There were a some things such as thetapoas.sys that I couldn't find where to uninstall it or really anything related to it. If you have any other advice it would be much appreciated.

Also it seems to happen when I'm doing two or more things simultaneously such as playing a game while listening to music or being in a Skype call while doing something like playing the game. Simply doing one task or the other either won't result in a BSOD or at least very rarely will there be a BSOD.

    Win8.1Pro - Finally!!!

It's not often that BSOD's topics are solved with the first post.
It usually takes 2 pages of posts to achieve some sort of closure - and 4-5 or more pages on the more complicated topics.

Here's some things to remove (uninstall):
    - LogMeIn (lmimirr.sys and LMIRfsDriver.sys) It's drivers date from 2007/2008. If needed you can reinstall the latest, Win8.1 compatible version once the system is stabilized.
    - WinPcap libraries (npf.sys) - recently have been known to be involved in BSOD's on Win8.1 systems.
    - OpenVPN (tapoas.sys) it's drivers date from 2010

Use Vaio Update to get all of the latest, Win8.1 compatible updates for your system (semav6thermal64ro.sys and SFEP.sys are the oldest)
Ensure that you have all available Windows Updates

As this memory dump isn't very similar to the previous memory dump, this may mean that there's a hardware issue present.
As such, please start these free hardware diagnostics in order to help rule out the more obvious hardware problems. Let us know the results and we'll move on from there.

FYI - 3rd party drivers that function at a low-level can give symptoms that are similar to hardware problems (random errors). As such it's necessary for us to rule out both 3rd party drivers and hardware in this situation.

I'll get those hardware tests started when I get home but yesterday when I was updating drivers and removing programs I couldn't find anywhere to uninstall OpenVPN and WinPCap so I'm not sure what to do about those.

What programs do you have that use VPN and networking?
It's best to remove the programs that use the driver(s) - that way it gets rid of everything that's causing problems with that program (not just that individual driver).
If unable to tell, then we can manually remove the drivers.

That may/may not help. But if it identifies the program responsible (since it won't work properly), then you can completely remove it.

I don't like to do this (it's not a neat fix), but we'll do it if they continue to show up in the memory dumps.

I'm not sure what programs I have that could be using those drivers and I don't see either of them listed in programs and features so I'm not sure what to do from here. If you'd like me to manually remove them let me know and also let me know how as I'm not sure how to do that. Also a couple of months ago I had the same issues with this computer and had run the hardware tests with no errors and ended up eventually having to do a full system restore which fixed the problem until just recently so I don't think it has to do with the hardware. It seems to always happen after Windows forces me to update to 8.1.

    OK, here's what I suggest.
We wait for the next set of BSOD's.
If the drivers are present in there, I will provide detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to safely remove these drivers.
Then we'll wait again to see if that fixes the BSOD's (it'll also give you the opportunity to see what programs it breaks - those are the most likely to be related to those drivers).

Frequent BSODs in BSOD Crashes and Debugging
In the last months I have been experiencing many BSODs, with no particular pattern. Sometimes, the BSOD happens when I have left the computer alone for some minutes. Others, the system crashes when I am using it, primarily for work. Here I attach my diagnostic file. Thank you for your support.
